So... we went and made a full on TV Pilot. And by "we" I don't just mean myself and Ben (who wrote and thought it up), I mean every single person who was involved in the making of this thing from the very start to the very end. It wasn't easy, but we got there, and fuck me it was a laugh.
I swear I'm so blessed to know so many talented people, who I've met over the years in various different capacities.
This is Across The Felt. It's about poker. It was filmed at the Ragabooley (he don't have social media, but if you know, you know, and without him none of this would have been possible), and it was filmed, shot, directed, acted, sound recorded and produced by the most talented people you could hope to ever work with.

1. Own your type by leaning into the things that make you unique
2. Make cool shit
3. Get a mic and good lighting to at least look like you take this seriously. Failing that, book in with Natalia at @owningitactingstudio to do your self tapes (She's the best)
4. Be consistent. Turn up every day. You need to want this, as a fuckload of people want it too.

There is no magic technique to acting in a film you are also directing. 🧠🎬
Whilst filming 'The Price', my hardest battle was getting my director brain to switch off so my actor brain could work. Directors have to know exactly where the story is going, but actors have to completely let go of the destination and live in the moment.
