For 4-5 years, I taught acting at a well-to-do performing arts school in Mill Hill, from 2009. During that time a cute, angry, bold, inquisitive and fierce girl started attending the same school, meeting me and
@bismark85 the dance teacher, towards the end of the journey. We would listen to her trails and tribulations from the previous week and council her in the best way possible in order to focus her obvious and unique talents in class and to hopefully guide her in her week ahead, hoping she would indeed turn up, which she always managed to. I have been through and seen certain things but her life was always an education. Suddenly we didnât see her again.
Towards the end of last year while waiting for a plane to shoot an episode of
@deathinparadiseofficial I was working on my computer, trying to ignore a loud mouthed young woman who obviously knew how to draw the attention in a room, maximising her physical powers with a loud mouth I should have recognised. Later, while on another of her phone calls, I eyes finally met. The slow walk towards each other while we confirmed who we were was epic. All tears and hugs there was almost an applause from the people waiting at the gate who understood what was happening. Not only did we reunite all these years later, she was playing my âadopted daughterâ in the episode.
@nkechisimms has turned into an actress of actual unique and bold qualities, has a great agent in
@42__mp and is killing it as one of those young up and coming actresses that we should genuinely keep an eye on. The same girl, she hasnât lost any of what makes her exciting. The only difference is that now she understands and is in control of it. I donât know if thatâs a good thing or a bad thing for the rest of us đą
