BAD MOOD is March 28 and we’ve got the parents behind @moodswing.sea , DJ Mom&Dad, on deck spreading their mood through the groove 🦋 DJ Mom&Dad (JELZ b2b RAMOS) were born out of a shared love of heavy, groovy club tunes and many late-night bedroom DJ sessions after putting their son to bed RAMOS (@mfram0s ) is a long-time DJ and creator with deep crates and 10+ years in the scene. You can find him soundtracking late nights with his wide-ranging selections on KEXP FM, and spinning DnB and Jungle bangers on his weekly segment @dnbat3 . JELZ (@nopbjustjelly ) brings a lifelong love of fashion, underground club culture and a soulful ear for House and UKG. JELZ is the creative vision behind Mood Swing, with a passion for keeping club spaces safe for self-expression. This global phenomenon reached Latin America simultaneously, where generations of artists were seduced by this music and inspired to sing it in their own language. Thus, “Rock en Español” was born, a kaleidoscopic musical movement that traversed the entire American continent thanks to musical gems that took rock from the underground to the mainstream, from the periphery to the center, while maintaining its spirit of protest and revolution. Noches de Rock en Español arrives at Life on Mars as a monthly series curated by Argentine radio host, producer, and DJ, Albina Cabrera ( host of @elsonidoradio ), where different DJs and Latinx artists from Seattle will be invited to guide a “rockera” night through different eras, and countries of Latin America and Spain.
