"Individuals who choose to love can and do alter our lives in ways that honor the primacy of a love ethic. We do this by choosing to work with individuals we admire and respect; by committing to give our all to relationships; by embracing a global vision wherein we see our lives and our fate as intimately connected to those of everyone else on the planet.” - bell hooks In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth and #ValentinesDay, and in the spirit of operating with a love ethic, we are proud to launch the first of our Love Letters, to Black men. Through every trial and triumph, your essence shines bright. Here's to honoring your journey, amplifying your voices as survivors, and uniting in solidarity against sexual violence. 🤎🖤 Text to letter reads: Dear Black Men, It’s been a long time…we know, and we apologize for allowing time and space to grow between us. But since this month is about us and about love, what better time than now to take a step back and talk to you - directly. We've seen how some of you struggle with finding your place in this movement and at the same time you are still brave enough to share your stories of survivorship. Your stories matter to us, your stories matter to the movement. We have seen how the media has been allowed to create a story for us that the most harmful in our communities have to define our whole community, and we are here to say unequivocally - that is not true. Your first role in this movement is as a survivor. That message may have been drowned out by the noise, but we want you to hear it loud and clear. Just like we want you to hear this loud and clear: we love you. You deserve safety. You deserve protection. You deserve healing.

We were honored to attend and participate in Free Future 2024 in New York City, which was curated by @fordfoundation in partnership with @untrustfundevaw , @unwomen , @skoll.foundation , and @themeteor .  With a $1 million seed-funding grant from the Ford Foundation, we announced the launch of our Global Network! The Global Network [with focus in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa] assists survivor-led movements in building power for resistance and healing to transform culture, society, and relationships that perpetuate Sexual and Gender Based Violence. We currently have 134 organizations across 33 countries in the network. Stay tuned for more updates on our expanding Global Network and the movement work happening worldwide. This is what power looks like! #MeTooInternational #SurvivorJustice #HealingInAction #FreeFuture24 #GlobalMovement

We’re still reflecting on our incredible time in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia for #WomenDeliver2026 🌏✨ From rich conversations to powerful strategy sessions and spontaneous moments of connection, this gathering was a reminder that our movements are deeply interconnected. There’s something powerful about witnessing survivor justice work reflected across borders, languages, and lived experiences. It reminded us that the fight to end sexual and gender-based violence is global, and so are the solutions. We’re grateful to truly live into our name — me too. INTERNATIONAL 😎🌎 — and to continue building alongside comrades and colleagues who are imagining and creating a safer, more equitable world for all of us. More reflections, lessons, and moments from #WD2026 coming soon 💫

Survivors & legal advocates at our @OversightDems hearing in Florida today testified that they were failed by the DOJ and loopholes in the Crime Victims’ Rights Act. I won’t stop fighting until survivors get the accountability, recourse, and policy change they demand & deserve.

We’re still basking in the brilliance, and the deep sense of collective power from #WomenDeliver26. We were honored to join over 6,000 delegates in Narrm, Australia, each of us committed to advancing access, healing, and justice for women and girls worldwide. In a moment where rights are being challenged and stripped across the globe, this gathering reminded us that our movements are necessary, interconnected, and unstoppable. Along with our partners @mujerxsrising & @freefromdotorg , we had the honor of co-hosting a day-long pre-conference that convened over 300 advocates to continue our ongoing discussion of Resourcing a Global Movement. Thanks so much to our regional hosts, @preventgbv and @theequalityinstitute , who held us with such grace in the beautiful unceded lands of Naarm, Australia and anchored us in the local context of the Oceanic Pacific. Our co-founder & CEO @daniayers served as a co-emcee and helped guide us through a robust day of strategy and collaboration. Later in the week, we hosted a fireside conversation at Studio 5 in collaboration with Project Everyone, where we discussed "Sexual Violence is a Public Health Crisis" and how we can move from awareness to solvability. Deep gratitude to the brilliant minds who joined us in conversation: our moderator Bia Vieira, CEO of Women’s Foundation California; Elizabeth Barajas-Román, President and CEO of Women's Funding Network; Dr. Emma Fulu, Founder and CEO of Equality Institute; Bonney Corbin, Director of External Relations and Advocacy of MSI Asia Pacific, and our Co-Founder/CEO, Dani. This is what building global solutions to end sexual and gender-based violence looks like in real time. Showing up with our folks, for our folks. More to come! 🤍 #WomenDeliver26 #SurvivorJustice #GlobalSolidarity

Healing isn't one-size-fits-all. And it doesn't have to be. For these survivors, it was a favorite journal prompt, a breathing exercise, a conversation that changed everything. It was finding what worked for them, in their own time, on their own terms. This Sexual Assault Awareness Month, 'me too.' x BetterHelp is honored to spotlight self-guided healing, survivor storytelling, and member resources, all available on Survivor's Sanctuary 👉 sanctuary.metoomvmt.org. #SAAM #Therapy #BetterHelp #MeToo

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In Black communities, these conversations are too often silenced, dismissed, or pushed aside. That silence protects harm, not people. Survivors deserve to be heard, believed, and supported—without question. Breaking the silence looks like having real conversations, showing up for each other, and pushing for systems that actually protect us. We can do better. And we have to. #SAAM #SupportSurvivors #BreakTheSilence #ProtectBlackWomen

As Sexual Assault Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re carrying its urgency forward, because this work doesn’t end here. When survivors vote, change happens. We know that our vote is critical to shaping the national conversation around sexual violence, and every election matters—this year included. Sexual violence affects 1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men in the United States. That means survivors are part of every congressional district, every state legislature, and every school board community across the country. That’s why the Survivor Justice Network is organizing survivors as a force for structural change, ensuring we are registered, informed, and ready to show up at the ballot box. Survivors Vote 2026 is officially here. Download our free Voter Registration Guide through the link in our bio to learn how to register, find your state’s Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), and take action in your community. Our communities are powerful. Our stories are important. And our voices are needed—now more than ever. #SurvivorsVote2026 #SurvivorJustice #SurvivorJusticeNetwork

Yesterday @mujerxsrising co-hosted our second "Resourcing a Global Movement" convening together with @metoomvmt and @freefromdotorg . This time we gathered in Australia with over 300 civil society, philanthropy, government, and community leaders for a day of meaningful conversation focused on creating the conditions and strategies necessary to end sexual and gender-based violence worldwide. We were happy to have @preventgbv and @theequalityinstitute join us as regional co-hosts for this pre-conference event that took place before #WomenDeliver. Stay tuned for more info about our time in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia, and what's next. We’re proud to be building a future rooted in justice, care, culture, and community with such incredible partners. #WD2026

There are 7 days left to take the Survivor Justice Network National Survey. This research will generate critical new data on survivors’ civic engagement, barriers to support, and pathways to collective policy change. Data helps win policy change. Your participation is the data. Click the link in the bio to take the survey.
