Meet the Democratic Members of the Oversight Committee who are fighting to hold the Trump Administration accountable, make our government more efficient, and take on corporate greed to lower costs for all Americans.
Donald Trump is the most corrupt President in American history. His administration is working every day to erase the progress we’ve made. But Ranking Member @reprobertgarcia and @oversightdems are here to fight back.
Our investigation and public pressure has brought significant consequences to those associated w/ Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell domestically and abroad. Our work is just getting started.
1. Prince Andrew: The Prince was stripped of his royal title and forced to move out of his residence. King Charles III has stated the British royal family would cooperate in a police investigation.
2. Larry Summers, former US Secretary of the Treasury: Summers stepped down from the board of OpenAI over his connections to Epstein. He was also placed on leave from Harvard University.
3. Peter Mandelson, former UK Ambassador to the US: Mandelson lost his ambassadorship and resigned from the House of Lords due to his Epstein ties.
4. Brad Karp, former Law Firm Exec: The former chairman of Paul Weiss resigned after emails between him and Epstein were revealed.
5. George Mitchell, former Senator: Mitchell resigned from his position as honorary chair of the Mitchell Institute over his ties w/ Epstein.
6. Mona Juul, Norwegian Ambassador: Juul stepped down due to her interactions w/Epstein. The foreign ministry has launched a review of the think tank her husband, and close Epstein associate, Terje Roed-Larsen used to run.
7. Miroslav Lajčák, former Slovakia National Security Advisor: Lajčák resigned over his texts with Epstein.
8. Peter Attia, Author: The longevity expert resigned as chief science officer of David Protein. CBS may be planning to cut ties with him.
9. Thorbjørn Jagland, former Norwegian Prime Minister: Norway’s economic crime police unit launched an aggravated corruption investigation into Jagland.
10. David A. Ross, art museum curator: Ross resigned from his position as department chair at NYC’s School of Visual Arts over his friendship with Epstein.
11. Jack Lang, former French Culture Minister: Lang resigned as head of Paris’ Arab World Institute. His daughter also resigned as head of France’s Independent Producers Union; emails showed she founded a company w/ Epstein.
12. Dean Kamen, Segway Inventor: Kamen is on a leave of absence from the board of robotics organization FIRST over his ties to Epstein, which apparently included a visit to his island.
The events of the White House Correspondents Dinner have been made out to be many things. But one is certain—it was unsurprising.
It’s not surprising that in a country facing both a gun violence crisis and a rise in political violence, Americans are once again forced to hide—under tables, under desks—just to survive.
It’s also unsurprising that my Republican colleagues have responded by offering a ballroom. If a ballroom is your solution to gun violence, then every student in America deserves one.
This case isn’t only about survivors of Epstein’s trafficking and sexual crimes — it’s about survivors everywhere who finally feel a little bit of hope that their stories will be listened to and imagine a future where there is justice.
But we’re not there yet because the Department of Justice is engaging in a massive cover-up.
In Lutnick’s transcribed interview, I confronted him about claiming Epstein was too “gross” to sit in a room with — but apparently not too gross to have lunch with your family on his island. Make it make sense.
I was in the room with Howard Lutnick during last week’s interview. People should read the transcript. The American people are sick and tired of the lies. They’re tired of the corruption. Howard Lutnick must resign now.
Former AG Pam Bondi must answer for her refusal to release the Epstein Files. Oversight Dems demand she come in, testify under oath, and that her filmed testimony is released to the public. End the cover-up.
2.5 million documents still HAVE NOT been released in the Epstein investigation.
It cannot be accidental that the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators and powerful men have repeatedly been redacted in the files while survivors’ names remain unredacted.
There’s nothing else to call that but witness intimidation.
It’s unacceptable that there haven’t been prosecutions, and that former AG Pam Bondi continues to engage in this cover-up. Oversight Dems demand she come in, testify under oath, and that her filmed testimony is released to the public. The survivors deserve nothing less.
In many cities, DHS and ICE operations are highly visible. But in Florida, ICE often operates in the shadows with little to no oversight or accountability.
That’s why @OversightDems traveled to Orlando to examine how DHS and ICE are operating in the South — and investigate the harm these enforcement and detention tactics are causing families and communities.
