I’m gonna use this #MedalMonday as an opportunity to thank everyone affiliated w/ the @brokenarrowskyrace for helping to create such an awesome event and for inviting TURF to come thru. I dunno if y’all can tell by my smile but a good time was had. Big ups to @scottrokisphoto and @ventiviews for not only capturing some great shots but for making your boy look handsome and remotely athletic✊🏾
My mom deposited a bunch of childhood artifacts at my home today so I figured I’d share for y’all’s enjoyment. As you can see I’ve been committed to my natural hairline for 40 years. You’re welcome.
Proud of my boy and the rest of the Madison 2015 Gold squad. Last game of the season and down 2-0 w/ nothing to play for but pride but collectively declared, “we ain’t goin’ out like that”. They ended up winning 3-2 w/ Mo-man contributing to the momentum shifter and the equalizer.
Ok, another great GOTR season is officially in the books. Coaching has become one of my favorite ways of keeping my dad’s memory alive, in addition to relishing any opportunity to MC and giving kids nicknames that they’ll never be able to shake. I accomplished all three at our end of the season banquet🙌🏾. Happy 72nd, Tom Tinsley🖤🖤🖤
Officially closed out the Dam Good Run race series today w/ the 40K. I had a blast, saw a bunch of my peeps, met some cool new folks out on the course, and got to run w/ my cousin @jarred_ervv albeit from very far behind. Big ups to the @evolve_united crew for all their support. All that being said, long races just ain’t my bag, baby! Plus, I kinda miss racing w/ my kids🤷🏽♂️ #blacktrailrunners #trailrunner #trailrunning
It can occasionally feel foreboding running in an unknown place knowing how unlikely I am to come across someone who looks like me…but then I remember that I belong on the trails and the trails belong to everyone. Glad I muscled through the jitters (and cold🥶) to get out and experience this beauty🙌🏾 #blacktrailrunners #trailrunner #trailrunning
Big ups to the coaches for getting this pic b/c the families could feel the love, support, and camaraderie from the sidelines. These boys got an improbable win in the semifinals earlier today only to secure a championship bout against a highly ranked team hours afterwards. Despite having no subs all day in 88 degrees they battled all the way through to the 11th penalty kick. While it did not end w/ a tournament trophy, the grit and mettle these young men exhibited will hopefully prove to be even more meaningful in the coming years.
