Recap of our panel talk in 𝓐𝓻𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 𝓕𝓵𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓻 ✨ For our final session, Flavoring Knowledge in Emergent Realities, we stir the pot of bio-computation, digital capitalism, and urban memory. Our moderator Ashley Lee Wong (@metaobjects ) set the stage by introducing her research on artistic ecologies, moving us away from tech-hype toward a more sustainable, trust-based way of collaborating. She framed the studio as a space for collective discovery, where we treat technology as a long-term partner rather than just a tool. Jenn Leung (@jennnital ) shared her "brain-on-a-chip" research, showing us how living neurons can actually play games in Unreal Engine, effectively dissolving the boundaries between the biological and the digital. Then, Shan Wong (@flyingpig.shan ) brought us back to the streets, discussing how 3D scanning and speculative fiction can archive the invisible histories of our changing cities and critique the "short-circuits" of digital capitalism. It was a reminder that when we learn by doing and let go of rigid hierarchies, we can start to imagine new, messy, and sentient futures together. 🖥 The full version of panel talk highlights are available on our website - Link in bio Thank you to everyone who joined us to discuss the intersection of art, technology, and community. 💫

Did you know the M+ facade is one of the largest screen facades in the world? 🌍 As one of Hong Kong’s most prominent tourist landmark, the construction process is just as impressive as it seems! 1. The Shape: An inverted T-shape massing that stands out to the harbour waterfront. 2. The Texture: Thousands of interlocking ceramic tiles created to picture a corrugated texture. 3. The Technology: A specialized hybrid LED system is tucked into the grooves of the tiles, allowing the building to function as a high-definition screen without losing its architectural texture. Now before you go, you get to understand more about how the LED facade was built! 🏗️ #architecture #foryoupage #hongkong #westkowloon #westk

I’m happy to announce that the @beyondmattereu project under the chapter title Beyond Matter: An Inquiry into the Modes of Exhibition Practices in the Virtual Condition is part of the new open access book in the DATA browser series. Curating Superintelligences: A Reader on AI and Future Curating (volume ten) This volume addresses a shift in contemporary curatorial field largely attributed to the ubiquitous presence of information and computational technologies, the rapid developments in Artificial Intelligence, and the reclaiming of subaltern knowledges. It poses questions about the implications of these “super-intelligences” for contemporary art and culture, and the new possibilities for curatorial practice and its future forms. edited by Joasia Krysa and Magdalena Tyżlik-Carver with with contributions by Dominik Bönisch, CROSSLUCID, Marialaura Ghidini, Olga Goriunova, Francis Hunger, Leonardo Impett, Victoria Ivanova, Eva Jäger, Nathan Jones, Murad Khan, Nora N.
