Mental Mana 🖤
An initiative founded on the fact that mental health is still not a comfortable topic to address and accept in many of our communities and cultures. So maybe you don’t have to always talk about it, maybe you can just do something about it until you feel ready to talk about it. Serving each other, doing things that we love, and gaining more knowledge is just as important in building our resiliency and health as talking about it is 🖤
We look forward to strengthening our community on these foundations ☺️

An explanation about our name and logo 🖤
-
“My Māori heritage guided most of the inspiration behind the name and logo.
While Mental Mana is for any person of any background, its creation was largely motivated by my experience witnessing the lack of support and acceptance of mental/emotional difficulties within Pacifica communities. Pacifica people are strong. This is my way of honoring that strength. Kia kaha tātou 🤍” - Delphia

“People do care and people do want to help you out of this, you just have to open up to them” - @missgardencitymt
Sometimes we don’t realize the support around us until we reach out. Reaching out can feel most difficult when our mental health is low, but if you keep building up the strength little by little, we promise you can do it and you’ll find the people you need around you.
Mahalo to everyone who came out last night to help us raise money for ongoing Kona Low relief efforts 🖤.
