A gathering of bodies and breath, all undulating together next friday 28th march 19 - 00. Tickets: RA/OTD. Thank you @looselipsevents 🪷🫧🪅 See your smiles soon 🌒
Following our 2-floor 10th Birthday bash at @cu_dalston last November, Loose Lips are back at Dalston's finest new basement later this month - for a mad night of cyberpunk hip hop, hyper-pop, neon electronica and hi-tech DnB.
Celebrating the recent Ponzu album release from enigmatic Scottish rapper and close friend of the label, @aboynamedtzusan , we've put together a line-up of inspired vocalists, rappers & DJs whose sounds glide between lo-fi nostalgia and experimental euphoria.
Tickets available now on RA - LINK IN @looselipsevents BIO

Introducing Octavia (they/them) who will be facilitating an art as therapy workshop called sensory tapestries at our Oct 1st queer healing event! 🖍️
🪐
Sensory tapestries ignites our curiosity and embodiment through a DIY therapeutic approach, feeling into the tactility of various art materials, naturally dropping into our innate creativity and enabling connection to our beautiful mindbodies via the theme of pleasure. By mapping the internal externally, we can begin to learn to unlearn the dominant narratives and forge new myths about our desires, boundaries and presence. Reclaiming ourselves, taking up space and using that space for what arises in a reflection circle.
Disclaimer: this workshop is a DIY therapeutic art practice and is semi facilitated, which encourages folks to exercise their autonomy by participating in the workshop at their discretion and on their terms. Only open up if you're feeling well resourced and share what feels safe and secure. Please find a welfare officer if you feel overwhelmed or heavy.
Octavia is an artist, educator, somatic practitioner and sometimes poet. Their art practice has moved from 2d visual art to experimenting with the synthesis of various mediums. They are intrigued by personal narratives, nature, dreams and find pleasure in embodied practices, holding space and magic. Their radical thinking and connection to somatics comes from the lineages of Black feminist authors, movement organisers and spiritual teachers: Audre Lorde, adrienne maree brown, Maryam Hasnaa and Camille Barton. You can find them sharing helpful links, books and funny memes. They hold a BA in psychosocial studies, are currently in training to be an art psychotherapist and have worked with misery, TAA, riposte, states of mind and the vagina museum.

the devastation when i told my mum that i’d given her favourite original to @scottpoch which was promptly followed by her disdain when i offered a print as a replacement. im making her an original now to quell her double dissatisfaction in me. blessed that all the pretty people keep these creations company, providing shelter, even giving them their own room, wall or mantel. 🥰🙏 ☂️🌈✨🍑❄️🍥🌻🍄🌹🌱🦚🍬
THE GLOW HOLE // “I spent many hours playing in GLOW HOLE, which was a comforting psychedelic sanctuary for me in the midst of a large busy art space. I was amazed with some visitors’ reactions to the installation. The temporary nature of the light paintings was very encouraging for visitors to create, in an uninhibited and joyful way.” words 🗣 courtesy of @h.a.l.l.u.c.i.n.o.g.e.n
