We did it! What started out as a silly idea on Thanksgiving Day became a 3 song EP. Seemed easy enough, but there were a few challenges along the way. Every song was produced, written, and recorded, from start to finish, over the weekend. I had nothing preprepared. When Paul said, hey we're doing a project inspired by Eric B & Rakim song titles...we thought it would be cool to get you and @doseonegrams on a track together, I said sign me up! As you may or may not know, I was an early prospect for Anticon when they began to center their operations in Oakland. I'd travel up from San Jose and camp out at their crib for days. History was made, and friendships forged. I may not have gone on to work with the label, but I met and established relationships with a group of dudes that I love and admire, to this day. I always thought Adam was the coolest cat. Intelligent, focused, and insanely talented. Much much love to my brother doseone. Thank you for this. It was a long time coming and hopefully just the first of many. For all of my disappearing acts through the years, being able to drop in an out for these types of occasions is what I do this for. Her mother shot the video. I thought this video was lost to the archives, but I found a not quite finished version of it. Couple fun facts: I say "fortnights are war type" toward the end of the song. This predated the video game Fortnite by about a year There is no drink in the red cup. It's holding my phone so I could hear the beat. It's a budget mini amp 😂

Clean hands Clean money Finally getting the hang of being a grown up. Its a very liberating feeling. Got a lot of bad habits I still need to work through, but I'm better suited for it than I've ever been. Took a couple weeks break from music related anything to get back some inspiration. I tend to fall in and out with it, but i have a lot of work to do. These videos and records aren't going to make themselves. Hope everything is good with you and you're having an amazing weekend ❤️

Had a really nice Easter dinner with my family, this past Sunday. I made dinner for us. Been a while since I cooked a full meal, from top to bottom, so that was fun. I hope you all had a good holiday, as well ☺️❤️

As a fan of independent/backpack/underground rap, it's always a real treat to travel out of town to see the homies do their thing, in their natural environment. Rocking for the local crowd is always a special vibe. I am especially grateful to be so deeply embedded in the culture. It has afforded me a lot of opportunities to witness first hand what makes our brand of Hip-Hop so special. One aspect that I think we don't always think about is the community. I didn't have any shows booked while I was out there, and didn't ask a single person if I could get on. I never do. I was asked if I was rapping to which id reply 'Nah man. I'm here as a fan!' I did travel down for some clandestine work with my brothers @exalttheanti . I put a feeler out in our west coast underground super rapper group chat, and was informed of the @concretejunglesessionsl.a event on Saturday by @turtl_acidlabrec . The good brother @itsbeond got back and got us hooked up. Was great seeing @jizzmhighdef @xololanxinxo @kamalsound and @awolone perform Farmers Market of the Beast. And just kill it in general. Much much love to @acidlabtech homies for the hospitality. Had a really nice time building and plotting on future moves. Big up @turtl_acidlabrec @express_fresh_music @mz1_official_ @itsbeond and @mykmansun Sunday was fresh. Went to @beatconla , held down by @digfindlistensamplechoprepeat and the good brother @voyage_83 I have more photos and tales from the curbside but can only fit so many on each post 😅 More soon.
