When titling this song, it was not only because of the air organ and flugelhorn samples I chopped from @javiersantiagomusic , it was also reflective of where I was at in my career...just feeling exhausted and needing a change. After chopping those samples, I found some live drums I recorded in '09 played by @gregrease , and after editing those, they fit this beat perfectly. I felt, in honor of how I do things, and this song, it was only right I spent countless hours diving in, teaching myself, and hand drawing an animated video. Something I've wanted to do for a long time.

D’Allen White (@dallenwhite ) is a South Minneapolis MC whose work has always favored precision over excess. Active throughout the early 2010s, he released EPs, collaborated widely, and developed a calm, deliberate delivery that let production breathe while his words landed with intention.
After years spent crafting a self-released album during a period of major transition in independent music, D’Allen stepped back from releasing music as life reshaped his priorities. That pause wasn’t an ending - it was a recalibration.
