The Traveler Buddy by Maas & Mean
In this workshop, you create a playful companion to take with you on a journey through memory, imagination, and material exploration. Without a fixed outcome, you reconnect with your inner child and let personal experiences shape your creation. At the end, you take your Buddy home.
A personal companion and reminder that play and creative freedom are always present, at any moment in your life.
The workshop is suitable for (young) adults and families. A maximum of six participants may join at a time. All materials and tools are provided, and a small donation for materials is requested. You can join at any time.
Saturday: 11 am to 6 pm
Sunday: 11 am to 4 pm
We are excited to invite you for the opening of 𝒯𝓊𝓇𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒯𝑜𝓌𝒶𝓇𝒹𝓈, an exhibition exploring our relationship with what we can’t control.
The exhibition reflects on the human impulse to build structures and rules, acknowledging the limits of control and the inevitability of uncertainty. Through moments of surrender, disruption, and disorientation, the works approach chaos as a generative condition from which new forms and meanings can emerge.

I want to create a creative place where we can discover, play, and feel joy together. In my role as a tour guide at @nieuweinstituut , I discovered how inspiring it is to work with children. Their creative ideas, making things together, and entering their world of imagination give me new energy and fresh insights for my work.
By spending time creating with them, I experience the freedom of making again. It helps me rediscover how to look at the world with curiosity and openness, allowing me to reconnect with my inner child in what I do.
