Russbel
Russbel is a protector by nature. They patrol the city night and day to ensure everything is well. It is best to stay on Russbel's side when things start to get shaky. However, if you really get to know Russbel, you might learn some of their deepest secrets.
Made from found objects in Brussel.
Houtman is standing at the weesperplein metrostation saying hi to everyone passing by. He is a part of the houtkunstroute that lasts until the end of oktober! Go visit him and all the other beautifull wooden sculptures that have been placed where trees have been cut down throughout the city of Amsterdam.
He is made entirely from old grachtenhout, old hardwood pillars that used to stand in the canals.

I made a giant Findling (creature made from trash)
This massive sculpture is placed on an old Bunker Hill thats part of the Dutch water defence line.
All the material was locally sourced, aka, found on the streets.
This Findling shows us how many small parts can come together to find a bigger propose. It reflects us in many ways.

Maak kennis met Mees,
'Ik wil iets bijdragen aan de wereld met speelse ontwerpen en humor, zonder iets bij te maken voor de wereld om te dragen.'
Tijdens de opening zal haar performance genaamd 'Bomen zijn protest' Te zien zijn. Hier laat Mees zien hoe bomen verbinding als protest gebruiken, en hoe wij dat van hen kunnen leren.
Kom naar de opening en laat je meeslepen in haar verhaal.
Maak kennis met de GHUNG,
Bestaande uit Danu Rendra, Mellis van Duijnhoven en Sil Rijsenbrij.
Ze vormen een orkest met ritmes van over de hele wereld.
Deze groep speelse muziekanten zal doormiddel van zelfgemaakte trommels en magische klanken de opening inleiden en het Wegwerp-wezen tot leven wekken.
Kom naar de opening en luister naar de GHUNG. Later op de dag is er een grote jam sessie waaraan iedereen kan meedoen.

To get my big friend up the hill we had to come up with some creative ways of transportation.
My hands were bleeding, my back was burnt but it was such a fun job.
