Without writing an essay I’ve got to send my love and appreciation towards Corey, Maryos and the wider @butter_sessions family.
The opportunities to work with the label has been a highlight of my time in music and I owe a huge amount to these two and their support.
It’s incredible to see how far the label has come in 15 odd years, the community that has been cultivated holds a special place in my mind and it’s hugely significant in music in Melbourne and Australia, it’s great to see Sleep D and the label go global and get the respect they deserve outside of Australia. They are a force.
To build something from the ground up on the love of music is very difficult and rare, we’ve all been fortunate to be a part of the community to help it grow into what it’s become today. Scary to think there are no signs of it slowing down too, the XV gig yesterday was unreal, come a long way from DJing to pretty much just each other at Killing Time years ago. It’s been a wild ride.
I’ve not got a bad word to say about these guys and the way they operate and will be forever grateful they have believed in my music and have put up with my lack of professionalism and stubbornness when it comes to my music and unusual ideas around it.
They are gems, congrats on an incredible 15 years and hope to see it continue long into the future.
The 15 year Comp is incredible, go pick up a copy as your local record shop and if you can, go pick up some merch.

One of these was played at my last IV set, the other was one of the tracks shortlisted for the BE album.
The coming album is more or less the alternate album I suggested for the Best Effort record but we went with the other more ambient direction.

Bleekman - The SuperSpectrum
Following on from the Bleekman album on @digitalmusiconly , another release of all hardware live take recordings in the deeper registers but, this time with a larger, even more Frankenstein setup.
With the mix of budget gear, shite soundcard, recording in a old apartment living room straight to a stereo live mix through a broken old mixer and only having 2 hands, it was hard to keep the recording from falling apart completely, although, that is the fun part.
Nothing really like setting up a few sequences, pressing record and leaving it to the gods.

Repeat Concrete’s 19th Cycle
The Metonic cycle or enneadecaeteris (from Ancient Greek: ἐννεακαιδεκαετηρίς, from ἐννεακαίδεκα, “nineteen”) is a period of almost exactly 19 years after which the lunar phases recur at the same time of the year.
Basically the lunar and solar cycles coincide every 19 years. It seems possible that our ancestors used these stone circles to mark the passage of time, amongst other things. One stone for each of the years before the ‘clock’ reset.

Nik asked for one page insert I gave him six, in a way it sort of sums up the whole conception and release. The entire few years Nik and I have been working on this record have been a real journey but we’ve made it through the inferno that is putting out a record, absolutely renewed.
