hey friends,
this past year has been a blur of change. some doors opened, others closed. somewhere in the quiet between it all, i found myself missing the simple act of cooking. Not for work, but for connection. for the warmth that happens when people gather, when food becomes a way of speaking without words.
the world keeps shifting, sometimes too fast to understand. but cooking slows it down. it brings you back to your hands, to the sound of the knife, to the steam hovering over a good broth, and the smoke dancing around the fire.
so i’m starting something new. kumée a small experimental dinner series about comfort, care, and the beauty of simplicity. raw fish, vegetables, rice, noodles, chicken the things i always come back to. paired with wines from my good friend
@pinoynoirpdx that share the same narrative.
we’re so grateful to be hosted by our friends at
@jeju.pdx and
@petecho
