Designing this Chicago home from the ground up was fun for many reasons, but today we’re going to focus on the abundance of natural light (yes, those are 10-foot windows). Unlike in New York where most homes touch (leaving a lot of windowless rooms), Chicago homes are typically freestanding on long, narrow lots, which means—you guessed it!—windows on all four sides of the house. Great for light, not so great for privacy. The solution: we used milk glass instead of clear on the sides, to let in light and maintain privacy.

Revisiting @danmazzarini ’s entryway in honor of his @apartmenttherapy home tour! “We found our Greenwich Village apartment the best way possible: by accident,” he says. “Long story short, we walked into this building and asked if they had any rental units, and while they didn’t, they had one unit for sale … and the rest is history.”

It’s that time again... allergy season. Revisiting design work we did for @nectarallergyandasthma , a local NYC allergist. As with all hospitality projects we do, we tried to bring a sense of home and comfort to the space—especially here, as it’s a place where the point of your office visit might be inherently the opposite. And because we simply couldn’t resist, we layered pollen-inspired artwork throughout. If you decide maybe your Zyrtec isn’t cutting it this season, we’ll see you there.

Remember that moody study we showed you the other week? Well, consider this your update from the project’s living area. We worked with artist Maren Kloppmann at @hostlerburrows who makes beautiful 3D art to create a ceramic installation and we absolutely love how it turned out.

Niche things we love about @danmazzarini ’s Greenwich Village apartment:
- The entryway gallery wall makes an impression the second you walk through the door.
- The TV is hidden in the corner cabinet—it’s motorized.
- There’s always a fresh bloom paired with the view.
- You can tell everything is collected—new seamlessly blends with vintage, all in a cohesive color palette that creates a real sense of calm.

At Tandem Vet Care in Somerville, Mazzarini & Co. brings a sense of calm to the clinical setting—designing an animal clinic where both pets and people can feel at ease.
From a moss feature wall to a staff lounge designed for true respite, the project prioritizes well-being for both caregivers and pet owners. The result is a welcoming environment where care extends beyond the exam room.

A palette that feels like a breath of fresh air. Shades of blue (Benjamin Moore French Toile on the walls and Britannia Blue on the trim) make this home office feel zen, the leather desk and woven pillows add texture and everything else layers in the fun. Swipe for a small peek into the design process and at the palettes and directions that could have been.
