This is a compilation of hour 2 during a 4 hour set. It was so so special to have presented my work internationally for the first time, I’m like, wait did that actually happen??? A container to truly experiment, expand, and experience this work with a new perspective ✨ willing to eat stars, in its many iterations over the past 3 years, has been the initiator in redefining how I approach my art practice. @maxystarr & I are debuting our collective project under the name GUT PUNCH at @judsonchurchnyc Monday 3/23 for the a FREE EVENT! For this performance @sagaliciousniss will also be collaborating with us 👏🏽 This program is a high visibility low-tech forum for experimentation, emerging ideas, and works-in-progress held in the Fall and Spring seasons. Artists are selected by a rotating committee of peer artists, and join Movement Research Artists-In-Residence and international guests each season in performing at the historic Judson Church. A little bio for our collective: GUT PUNCH is a collaboration between Maxi Hawkeye Canion and Hisham Akira Bharoocha.They began collaborating in 2025 on hybrid performance works merging movement, theater, sound, and technology.
