Anyone who’s been to Kane’s kitchen will know he is a serious collector of music memorabilia. A lifetime of music passion speaking through the typography of that years coolest band. Layered collage of maximalism that means so much to one person but so little to another.
@ssscccrrraaappp is a label project by @kaneanson@djadhd.mp3@nikki__nair and @alfie_allen_ and the first live expression of that is next Friday. @__pandaemonium will be doing the live visuals for the second time ever after our Bangface debut with @ggxd.studio
For Friday’s show poster(s) we cut up the cast offs from Kane’s poster collection and printed on them ( s/o @mesh.and.blade )

These were made using scrap, wire, foam packaging and greeblies from old Warhammer and Airfix kits I’ve been hoarding.
Last slide A Canticle for Leibowitz, by Walter M. Miller, Jr. Cover art by Peter Jones. Building from fragments made me think of this book.

The record sounds like a covert machine in deep space, unknown signals, searching for lost archeotech. I kept returning to old astronomy books I had while working on it which fed into the centre-labels.
FM IS DEAD, LONG LIVE FM @fieldmaneuvers always feels like the exhale at the end of the summer. The rise and the fall. The moment you care the most and the least about. Relaxed but excited. Tears of Joy. Numbed by emotion. Strobe Therapy. Black & White. Everything and Nothing. A contradiction in terms. Oxymoron. No morons. Run by idiots. Liminal. Non-linear. Non-binary. Non-hierarchical. Nonsense. Nowhere. Somewhere (in Norfolk). A million miles from reality 🖤🤍 Love to FMers past, present and future – always a sign of a good pub when it has proper regulars. Forever grateful to @jpearsonhowes for getting us in to design this book for him. His subjects are probably the latest, greatest, musical movement to come out of the UK - and it does feel slightly impossible to imagine something like that happening at the moment. James’ hand printed work honours that late-stage-analogue era that feels now further away than ever. Spent some time in the darkroom with him messing about with type and objects. The slipcase is based on some silver and orange Nike Shox NZ from that era 🍊🪙
