This bike racing journey was never intended to go this far, even though it is a childhood dream realized. When @paulhsadoff said “we need you on the team because we don’t have a bass player” it was clear it was a good match 💫
@teamrocklobstercx supported me through my first cx nationals and my World Cup euro adventures, the f-uci points quests and 12 years later in this post pandemic 🗑️🔥📈 present.
First it was the lobster cup and now a continuation of @surfcitycx (the longest running cyclocross series in the country). It is a great joy to see the squad, and race with some of the fastest in the world (👀 on you @danlikesbikes ) in such a fun, family friendly, relaxed and positive environment!
Please come out and support the team and the greater @_ncnca_ community!
Doom scroll all you want after this but there is so much positivity and community ❤️going on at the at the crest ranch Christmas tree farm on October 25th and 26th that we all might turn into 🎃 and decompose our way out of here!

Racing track bikes never interested me until I was hit by a car. When any number of variables could change a life to death, or a brain to mush, but they somehow turned in my favor and the back of my head smashed the windshield and not the other way around, I thought differently about a closed course with an emphasis on rider safety.
All I ever wanted from cycling was to get out in nature and get rowdy and dirty and get home from my friends’ houses before my parents knew I left. I didn’t know how exciting, tactical and raw tiny ovals could be.
Thanks to @sandiegovelodrome for providing an inclusive, warm, competitive and safe environment to learn a new discipline and make new friends during a pandemic that asked us to keep to ourselves.
To @thefitnessalchemists for coaching my brain and body back from the dark side.
To @paulhsadoff for saying “sure I’ll build you a bike” and supporting me as he has since we met with generosity and humor.
To @jeanvaljean27 for opening her home indefinitely as a safe and healing place to put lives back together and cry and work towards any future selves we want to become.
