Apparatus Ludens at the BFI London Film Festival 2022
Apparatus Ludens (machine at play) is an interactive story about our relationship with the vast amounts of data we leave online. The work is presented through an evolving series of interactive films that blend game elements, AI technology and cinematic techniques to create a personalised and non-linear story for each visitor.
We’re using text-completion, text-to-speech and text-to-image AI techniques to craft a unique narrative for each visitor, while the landscape is composed of data harvested from the internet and generated imagery in real time.
The artwork raises questions about data privacy, accessibility of our virtual footprints and the trust we are willing to give increasingly anthropomorphic and ubiquitous AI systems.

Unknown Cloud is an artwork we’re creating together with @lundahlseitl in collaboration with @hara_alonso and Rachel Alexander.
Each experience influences the next unknown cloud formation and makes it evolve for years to come.

Skiljelinjer is an architectural research project by @untoldgarden (@jakobskote & me) and @sebastiandahlqvist , exploring agonistic decision-making in collaborative design through the use of a purpose-built augmented reality tool.
We are proud to be included by @svenskform in their showcase of the best young Swedish design 2021, Ung Svensk Form. We are especially glad for this award since our project is not a design object, but a design tool. Its inclusion indicates a shift in the predominant perspective that design is concerned with the production of objects, and not the tools that create them.
If you want to try it you can find it by searching "Skiljelinjer" on app store, link in bio. There will be a physical exhibition whenever the situation permits.
We will conduct a number of workshops and experiments with this tool throughout the spring. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have an interesting idea for a workshop.
