Five films. Five genres. One theme.
We worked on the music, sound design, and mix for #Mazda’s latest #CX-5 campaign, “5 Sides of the CX5.” Each spot lives in a different cinematic world - action, romance, sci-fi, horror and musical. Our challenge was to craft a musical theme that could stretch across these wildly different worlds, while still feeling like part of the same story.
@willbatescomposer composed the 5 notes that would become ‘Ruby’s Theme’, iterated across 5 wholly distinct genres (sound on 🔊).
So grateful to be part of this ambitious project, and to collaborate on work that pushes the boundaries of both craft and scale. None of which would be possible without the incredible team who brought this campaign to life!

Today is a good day! It’s this fine woman’s birthday! She is so cool. And i am lucky to be in her orbit. She is such a big hearted human, an incredible talent in so many ways, a caring (plant/dog) mother, an old soul…yet eternally young, a great dance partner, kitchen partner, and life partner, and so much more. She is so deserving of celebrating. And for YEARS she has talked about wanting to see the solar eclipse on this particular birthday. So we made it to Texas to do just that! 🤠🤠 Happy birthday, my GG. Love you babe!

So greatful that this lovely lady is celebrating 96 today! And that I get to see her in a few days. I hope to have as much personality and toughness as she does when I’m 65, let alone in my 90s. Cheers to Hilde! 🍷❤️
