It’s been a great week of XJS ownership! Renewed the engine bay hoses, injector hoses and refurbished the injectors.
Grateful for my friend Dave Pallett for the help.
Topped off by a great drive out to Donington to join up with the XJS club, and brilliant to hang out with @gkacquah for the day.
Before my dad passed away one of the projects we were working on together was a range of studio monitors. Very excited that thanks to a commission from a new studio in Norwich, I am building my first pair of high end three way main monitors featuring the very finest drivers from @voltloudspeakers . Watch this space…
It’s been a treat to be on the @niftyaudio stand at @plasaonline 2025 this weekend. Showcasing the new LV1 Classic console and meeting up with friends and colleagues in the industry.
40th ANNIVERSARY OF LIVE AID.
Very proud of my family company’s heritage. Malcolm Hill Associates provided the sound system and flip/flop control package for this legendary event on this day in 1985. Mike Scarfe and my dad were in their early 30’s when they pulled this off, using a complete Hill proprietary system , M4 speakers, J-series consoles and Amps all manufactured at our premises in Kent.
I was 2 and I wasn’t there ha!
But hats off to Malcolm, Mike, and their team.
These are a few photos I found and also some documents that I found in the MHA archives.

End of a tiring but amazing weekend with @solotech_uk_group working on Isle of Wight festival with a top crew. Laughed a lot and learned a lot. Turns out the top engineers are very generous with their experience and ideas. Looking forward to being home with the fam…and my own bed now though!
Those who know me well know how much of @theofficialsting fan I am. And bizarrely I have never seen him live…until today. And I got to watch from the best seat in the house, whilst audio legend Howard Page showed us how it was done. Dynamics, definition, clarity. And wow @dominicmillerofficial beautiful guitar playing and tone…what a treat. Some days are just good days!
Fathers Day 💔
I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since he left us. Still doesn’t feel real. Talking to many people that knew him I often get the same reaction ‘he wasn’t always the easiest’ or ‘he had his ways of doing things’ etc.
One thing is for sure (and I’m the only one who can say this!) - he was an incredible dad. He gave up a lot of career opportunities to spend more time at home. He always made me feel safe, strong, and encouraged me so much throughout my life, right til the last time I saw him.
A good man, and a great dad.
