Well, what did we do in Naples.
@superotium invited us for a residency, so
@mathainsta and I decided not to sleep. Supported by
@akhet.edizioni , we mapped the city with long field recording sessions, meeting, pizzas and coffee. Then, thanks to the help of
@ingvvulcani , we listened to the sub-city, compiling a Python script that received data in (almost) real time aka the never-ending drones from Campi Flegrei (<3 Anna and Massimo). After veeeery long sessions of listening-checking-cleaning, we composed a work made of sounds from above filtered or raised by those below. A coexistence that obviously already exists, we just made it more evident, audible and obviously filtered by our way of producing sounds, using specific parameters and tweaking things aka mega thanks to
@inagrm for the Atelier tool, what an incredible instrument.
The collection of sounds when now have is almost is infinite, but still a little less extensive than the collection of memories and new friends. Naples, city of the heart, SuperOtium, a place to live, akhet, a great discovery. Grazie di cuore
