Our first capsule collection has officially landed ✨
I’ve spent the last few weeks curating a small collection of patterns from indie pattern designers for the first-ever Material Goods capsule collection, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Consider this a curated spring edit to settle into some slow stitching this season.
Each bundle pairs a designer pattern with fabric we’ve hand-selected for it based on weight, drape, and color. Many of them are designed to mix and match, and there’s plenty of ways to make this collection your own. Love warm colors? We’ve got you. Want a softer, cooler spring palette? Options abound.
Whether you’re sewing for #MeMadeMay or just treating yourself to a project that feels intentional from the start, these bundles are designed to take the guesswork out and leave you with the good part. We’ve also included individual fabric picks from the collection — perfect if you already have a pattern in mind and just need the right fabric to bring it to life.
The best part? Each bundle is marked down 10% from the list price, so this is a good way to get your hands on some of our most premium threads. Quantities are limited, but I can’t wait to see how you make these your own 😌💕

It's #MeMadeMay! I've been traveling for most it so far, and while I've been wearing some me-mades, the pictures have been few and far between 🫠
But recently I wore these #chanterellepants by @sewliberated , made out of our Nomad linen twill. This pattern/garment combo is featured in our spring capsule collection, and I love love love how they turned out. This fabric is a gorgeous bottom weight that still feels breezy enough for the warm weather. They feel like pajamas, but dress up like a chic trouser.
The top is a #jessietee by @truebias sewn up in a Tencel modal rib that I desperately need to start carrying. Seriously, one of the most-worn garments in my wardrobe 😌💕
If you're looking for spring inspo, check out the new capsule collection in our bio, and please tag us if you're wearing anything this month with our fabrics 😌💕
Some fabrics just feel good the second you pick them up, and double gauze is definitely one of those. I've been on the hunt for the perfect double gauze for years, and I think I've finally found it.
These 100% cotton gauzes are light, airy, and cloud-soft, with two layers of cotton woven together for a beautiful crinkled look that gets even better with washing and wear. Of course I opted for natural colors that feel timeless, and customers have already started purchasing them for baby quilts and breezy garments.
This drop includes a mix of easy solids and a whole suite of checked colorways, which I especially love for garments and soft, relaxed quilts. The checks have that effortless, everyday feel that makes a project look good without trying too hard.
If you’ve been curious about sewing with double gauze, this is a really good place to start. 🧵 Questions? Let's talk about 'em below!
You asked for it, and Kaffe Fassett shot cotton is here! ✨
If you’ve never sewn with shot cotton before, it’s woven with two different colored threads (one in the warp, one in the weft), which gives it a subtle depth and shimmer you can’t quite capture in photos. The colors shift just a little depending on the light, and the texture is buttery soft.
It’s one of those fabrics that feels simple at first glance but ends up adding so much richness to a project.
A rainbow of colors are now waiting for you in the shop. Happy sewing, friends. 🧵
Nomad is here. ✨
Our new 100% linen twill just landed, and it’s the kind of fabric that makes you want to start a project immediately. It has a beautiful texture, soft hand, and earthy colors that feel timeless.
Also a little confession: linen is pretty much the only fabric I quilt with anymore. I love the way the finished quilt feels relaxed and lived-in right from the start. Once you quilt with linen, it’s hard to go back.
If you’ve been linen-curious… this might be your moment. 🧵
Now in the shop.
Thank you soooo much to everyone who came out to QuiltCon in Raleigh this past weekend. It was our highest grossing show yet, and 1000% worth all the work to transport this little shop across the country. It was so fulfilling to see this wonderful community in person and be inspired by the incredible quilts and vendors.
If you missed Quiltcon, the pallet will arrive home this week, and I'll slowly be putting all our new product in the online shop, so if you see something in this reel that you want, stay tuned to our newsletters to know when it's available. I had so much fun creating new products for the show and can't wait to share them with you all.
A very special thank you and shout out to my ride or die booth mate (and sister), @erinmenardi , who handles the show with such grace and joy for our customers. And also to Erin Monfort for helping out this year. We laughed til we cried and binged Traitors episodes after the show, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Also thank you as always to @themqg for putting on the best modern quilt show! My cup is full 😌💕
If you’re not sewing quick makes the week before #QuiltCon, are you even QuiltConning? Ha, I always tend to make stuff right before I leave, and usually I get in over my head, but this shirt took less than an hour. It’s my favorite #JesseTee by @truebias , and I think I can make it in my sleep now... I used our new Mirage cotton/linen blend in sable, and the fabric is perfect for a breezy little tee. (Also peep the mindfully made label from @intenselydistracted — this is the first time I’ve used one and I lovvve it.)
I’m off to Raleigh on Monday, and the shipping orders will be paused while I’m gone, though online ordering will remain open. If you want to snag some of this fabric, order by Saturday so I can get it out to you before I leave!
And if you’re making last-minute QuiltCon garments, quilts, or other projects, let me know below! My past ones have included aprons, laptop and kindle cases, appliqué projects (for the plane), and of course quilts quilt quilts, because there’s nothing quite like a binding party the night before the show starts 🫠
#helloquiltcon
Rip and fold 27 half-yard precuts with me for #QuiltCon in 30 seconds 🫠
Does my back hurt? Yes. Do I desperately need to bring on a studio partner? Yes. Am I so excited for the show and to see so many of you in person? Also yes!
My QuiltCon pallet pickup is on Monday, so this week and weekend are some of my busiest of the year. I love attending the show and being a vendor, but the prep is A LOT. Not pictured are the bins and laundry baskets full of other fabric that needs to be packed, labeled or priced. (Or my husband patiently helping me package goods and load up my pallet). Phew.
You may see some items in the online shop disappear for a few weeks, but for the first time, I'm not taking ALL my inventory to the show, which means there will still be a decent selection for sale online. Orders will be filled for the next few weeks, then I'll take a pause during my travel to Raleigh.
And if you want to come shop in person, I'll be vending at QuiltCon Feb. 19-22 atthe Raleigh Convention Center, with yardage, precuts, notions, and some new things that will debut at the show! Even if you're not a quilter, it's a super fun event, and you can see the best modern quilt show in the world and shop hundreds sewing vendors.
Are you going this year? If so, I'd love to hear about in the comments below! Come say hey 👋
I just added a fresh mix of Fableism wovens to the shop, and as always, they're great for garments and quilts, with each one chosen as much for its texture and versatility as for the gorgeous colors. I found myself gravitating toward the stripes this time around, and they're even more beautiful in person than they are online. Fableism never disappoints.
If 2025 was the year of figuring out how to order custom fabric, 2026 is the year of finally releasing it.
After months of waiting (including a month or two of panicking over a missing UPS shipment), Mirage is finally here, and she is as gorgeous as I imagined. This fabric was block printed by hand in Bagru, India, on a premium linen/cotton blend fabric that is great for both garments and quilts. I also think it would make beautiful pillows, bags, and home pieces, because the weight is soft yet substantial, with just the perfect amount of drape.
If you want to pick up a yard or two, head to my profile for the link 😌💕
