Next week we’ll be back with a brand new episode, but this week we’re diving back into the archives for another favorite - Ep. 45 with @maryping_ Mary Ping! Fashion designer Mary Ping was influenced at a young age by a stylish grandmother who taught her to sew. Always knowing she’d one day run her own label, she studied art at Vassar and worked in east London’s scene before founding her conceptual line, Slow and Steady Wins the Race, a living archive of wardrobe classics, reexamined. Not one to participate on the hamster wheel of trends, she prefers injecting social commentary and sartorial wit into her work. Plus, her photographic memory weirds people out. Listen to Mary and @amydevers wherever you get your podcasts!

Posted @withregram@benoit.pierre.emery So happy to announce the release of my book CARRÉ A VINTAGE SCARF COLLECTION This book goes back several years. Over time it has matured as the collection was further enriched by new extraordinary pieces. Printing and publishing these two volumes with Gerhard Steidl is a dream come true. I would like to thank Gerhard for his kindness and for this unique opportunity. His eye for detail and superb attention to the quality of printing have reinforced my belief that the book could not have found a better home. I would also like to thank all his team who have been so involved in every detail of the book’s development, in particular Holger Feroudj and Monte Packham.  I would like to express a special thank you to Pascaline Brette who has supported me in my various projects over many years. I would like to thank her for her vision, patience and passion over many months in selecting the different scarves for this book with me.  I also affectionately thank my brother, Vincent Emery, who with the assistance of Alain Sacrez painstakingly photographed the entire collection over more than a year and compiled a valuable database for it. A very special thanks to Mary Ping who so kindly introduced me to Gerhard Steidl. @steidlverlag @holger7188 @montepackham @maryping_
