Altars and the ways we practice our spirituality, color and nature, and decadence vs. decay. Out today in @artribune , written by @giu__mura who I so appreciate for the time she took and the sensibility with which she recounted all we discussed in my studio. There is some about where I've been, and more about what I'm up to now and where I'm going. And what a pleasure it is to get to include names of some of the wonderful people I've worked with over the past several years who have become friends and mentors. Link above.

Il suo cappello è il firmamento | L'universo la sua scarpa | Le stelle i gingilli alla sua cintura | Le sue sfumature di blu" -Emily Dickinson ∗∗∗ @artribune has published a piece by @giorgia_basili_ about Moon Garden, the solo-show I currently have up in Rome with @cramum and @gaggenauofficial , curated by @s.m.frassa ☽ I'm thrilled to share Giorgia's words about my work, which spoke with care and depth about the spirit of the show and my creative process, and for which I'm very grateful. "At the center of Moon Garden, in which moon gardens provide the poetic subtext, lies the human imagination in ecstatic contemplation of nature." "Her Bonnet is the Firmament – The Universe – Her Shoe – The Stars – the Trinkets at Her Belt – Her Dimities – of Blue. -Emily Dickinson Link in bio

@torontoinkcompany has played a very meaningful role in the direction my own creative work and that of a great many others over the past several years. There's too much to say to be able do so properly here, but I do really hope you'll all read this @nytimes piece written so beautifully by @only_connect It is an ode to Jason Logan's work, to curiosity, to believing in generosity, to staying true, to nature, and to magic that is real. It means quite a lot to have been mentioned here, along with some really special people, in what feels like a part of the continuation of the story of color and our relationship with it. Many, many thanks.

. . At mini_ma gallery, Marta Abbott’s practice unfolds as a study of slow transformation and sedimented time. Working across paper and ceramics, she traces the geological shifts where the sea yields to stone, and fragments of life - bones, shells, and flora - are gradually transmuted into sediment and mountain. The work establishes a profound relationship with the territory, mirroring a landscape shaped by visible stratifications. Abbott invites the viewer to linger at the threshold of perception, engaging in a sottovoce dialogue where matter continuously dissolves and reforms, echoing the quiet language of the earth. Join us for the exhibition opening on May 16. #minimagallery #asottovoce #artgallery #martaabbottart #ameliart

THiRTYONE Art Residency – Chapter 2 - @martaabbott We are pleased to announce a new Art Residency collaboration with artist Marta Abbott. Inspired by our new space in Piazza Sant’Anastasia, the project will take shape from the figure of Saint Anastasia, a symbol of care, resilience and quiet strength. Through vessels that recall ancient Roman medicine jars, Abbott will weave together memory, material and spirituality, creating works that connect past and present. A dialogue between art and design, where research, process and creativity share the same space. For information and to book a visit: [email protected]

Marta Abbott reflects on a practice shaped by observation, memory, and the quiet transformations of natural processes. Through cyanotype and painting, her works capture subtle traces of light, time, and presence—images that emerge slowly and reveal themselves through attentive looking. Her work is presented in A Sottovoce, the upcoming exhibition at galleria mini_ma. In dialogue with Emilia Burchiellaro, the exhibition explores forms of transformation that unfold discreetly, leaving a lasting imprint. Saturday, 16 May 2026 17 pm galleria mini_ma, Amelia . . Building layers and describing time with form and color. Preparing new work on paper and in clay for A sottovoce, a show of my and @kobu_design which opens @minima_artgallery on May 16th. Both of our work centers around what lies beneath, what we feel but cannot always name, and how to bring those things closer to the surface, where they can be examined.

From Greece in April. We reinforced the arrival of Spring and all it brings with it by following Easter from Rome to Athens. Flower offerings at sunset, the blood-red Easter eggs that are magnets for the eye, light that explains why the Greek myths exist, and many feline companions along the way through so much past but also so much present. An adventure had in the company of dear friends who multiplied the beauty of it all.

— #mostradarte #artecontemporanea #artgallery #mostra #contemporaryart
