Presso la galleria mini_ma, l’indagine artistica di Marta Abbott si articola come uno studio sui processi di trasformazione lenta e sul tempo sedimentato.
Attraverso l’uso sapiente di carta e ceramica, l’artista rintraccia le dinamiche geologiche in cui il mare cede il passo alla pietra, e frammenti di vita - gusci, piante, piume - si cristallizzano in roccia e montagna.

At mini_ma gallery, Marta Abbott’s practice unfolds as a study of slow transformation and sedimented time.
Working across paper and ceramics, she traces the geological shifts where the sea yields to stone, and fragments of life - bones, shells, and flora - are gradually transmuted into sediment and mountain. The work establishes a profound relationship with the territory, mirroring a landscape shaped by visible stratifications.
Abbott invites the viewer to linger at the threshold of perception, engaging in a sottovoce dialogue where matter continuously dissolves and reforms, echoing the quiet language of the earth.

THiRTYONE Art Residency – Chapter 2 - @martaabbott
We are pleased to announce a new Art Residency collaboration with artist Marta Abbott. Inspired by our new space in Piazza Sant’Anastasia, the project will take shape from the figure of Saint Anastasia, a symbol of care, resilience and quiet strength.
Through vessels that recall ancient Roman medicine jars, Abbott will weave together memory, material and spirituality, creating works that connect past and present. A dialogue between art and design, where research, process and creativity share the same space.

Marta Abbott sviluppa una ricerca fondata sull’osservazione, sulla memoria e sulle trasformazioni silenziose dei processi naturali.
Attraverso la cianotipia e la pittura, le sue opere custodiscono tracce sottili di luce, tempo e presenza: immagini che emergono lentamente e si rivelano solo a uno sguardo attento.

Building layers and describing time with form and color. Preparing new work on paper and in clay for A sottovoce, a show of my and @kobu_design which opens @minima_artgallery on May 16th. Both of our work centers around what lies beneath, what we feel but cannot always name, and how to bring those things closer to the surface, where they can be examined.
New work. Fragments of ocean floor and products of tectonic shifts meeting the light and now on their way to @minima_artgallery for the opening of my and @kobu_design show, A Sottovoce, on May 16th.
From Greece in April. We reinforced the arrival of Spring and all it brings with it by following Easter from Rome to Athens. Flower offerings at sunset, the blood-red Easter eggs that are magnets for the eye, light that explains why the Greek myths exist, and many feline companions along the way through so much past but also so much present. An adventure had in the company of dear friends who multiplied the beauty of it all.

mini_ma inaugura il nuovo programma espositivo con una mostra che mette in dialogo le pratiche di Marta Abbott ed Emilia Burchiellaro, a cura di Elisabetta Tiziana Villa.
Un percorso che attraversa ceramica, cianotipia e pittura, dove il gesto diventa traccia, relazione, trasformazione.
Le opere si muovono tra ciò che emerge e ciò che resta sospeso, aprendo uno spazio di riflessione intorno a interiorità, natura e tempo.
In un momento storico segnato dalla crisi climatica, la materia si fa linguaggio sensibile, capace di raccontare ciò che spesso resta non detto.
