We’re in deep trouble here. While Democrats are still likely to take the House (and maybe the Senate) in November, the future is bleak in 2028 and beyond without a sea change in how we fight Republican gerrymandering. But even with a majority in both Houses, Trump and the Trump-majority Supreme Court hold veto power over any new Voting Rights legislation. This will take effort on a generational level to overcome a steady slide into fascism.
