Hi all, it’s been another eventful year for me. I know it’s been a tough one for a lot of people, and while I’ve faced some personal challenges of my own, I’ve also been lucky enough to experience some professional highs.
Our annual
@stroudfilmfest Poster Exhibition was horror-themed this year, and the Stroud Illustrators Collective (
@illustratestroud ), unsurprisingly, produced some fantastic, varied work. For my part, I did the 1931 classic Dracula.
I worked with
@blockbusterboxsets for the first time this year. Using my Godfather Part II artwork, which I did a little while ago, as a starting point, we created two new pieces to complete The Godfather Trilogy for a DVD box set art.
I had the honour of producing the poster for
@olikember ’s new short film Til Death Do Us Part. It’s always such a pleasure working with Oli, and I loved that my work could help in the promotion of his darkly funny short film.
2025 was also the first year I tabled at a con.
@thoughtbubblefestival was a fantastic experience. It has the best crowd — eclectic, enthusiastic, and love to chat about the art. The fellow artists and exhibitors were also great fun and incredibly supportive, which made the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to do it again next year.
I contributed to Deck the Walls, a festive community project organised by the consistently brilliant
@sg_posters . I often use Blender, a 3D modelling program, to create references, but this time I modelled, made all the materials and then rendered the whole thing to use as the final poster, elf-shaped gingerbread men and all.
The year finished with a couple exciting commissions, neither of which I can show yet, but I’m hoping to reveal them soon.
I hope everyone has been doing OK this year.
Good luck, stay safe, people.
