🌈 In collaboration with Mark Oshiro, Rick Riordan and Disney Hyperion, Rainbow Crate is pleased to announce a full special edition set of the Nico Di Angelo Adventures.
Open pre-orders will be Summer 2026. Anyone who orders this edition during the pre-order period will be guaranteed a copy. You do not have to have a subscription to purchase this edition.
Customers can buy as many sets as they want, however they must all be purchased separately. Sets cannot be shipped together in the same box. We ship internationally.
We will have full details including price, cover, edge and artist reveals coming closer to the sale date. This set will be hardcover editions with new dust jackets, illustrated hardcases, illustrated endpapers and printed edges!
We are announcing all our planned 2026 special edition sets throughout the week. Come back tomorrow for the FINAL reveal!

Here, Mark shares with me the vulnerable process of expressing personal truth through fictional characters (specifically in “Anger Is a Gift”, and how the reality of it sets in eventually—when you’re on the brink of finishing your manuscript and start to realize: “Oh shit, people are going to read this.” I love how emotional Mark’s books are—which makes them quite healing. ❤️🩹
What’s more is, Mark wanted to do justice to portraying a young person’s relationship with anxiety, beneath the surface of the notions we, as a culture, may associate with it.

Nine days. Nine cities. Nine celebrations of a new Nico di Angelo adventure. Thank you, Redwood City, for closing out the tour with us. You also got to celebrate Rick and I learning that THE COURT OF THE DEAD hit #1 on the NYT Bestseller List, #8 on the USA Today list, #1 on the UK Middle Grade list, #4 on the UK Children’s list, and THE SUN AND THE STAR returned to #9 on the MG Paperback list for the NYT. I’m overwhelmed and extremely thankful. Hope you love the book as much as we loved writing it.

Just got the news from the bestie @gaileyfrey (who also hit the list this week!!!) that THE COURT OF THE DEAD is a USA Today Bestseller. I don’t think we hit the list before??? So I think this is a career first, and #8 is W I L D. Thank you, demigods. You’re the best!!!
So, there was a point weeks ago where Rick and I were told that our Denver event would be 1) at the @childrensmuseumdenver and 2) outside, and we couldn’t picture it or how it was gonna go. Yesterday was a surreal, imaginative dream. There were so many folks on the grounds of the museum that they were spread out to the hills in the distance. The staff let me go on a little adventure of my own, where I found my fave animal ever in the wilderness. Thank you to @secondstartotherightbooks for helping put together a magical evening, and thanks to all the demigods for your enthusiasm. I’m still laughing at all the little jokes you probably didn’t think I heard, but I did.
