Introducing our second stage and lineup for May 23, featuring ambient/dubstep and bass forward sets from Petite Syrah, R A L L Y, and Dj Screendoor. More about the artist and set times. Petite Syrah • 10:15-11:45p @marinadeinthesarahnade eases into downtempo terrain inspired by the transition from winter into spring — weaving together sounds that have percolated through a season of personal growth. Expect earthy, globally influenced textures and rhythms designed for spacious internal movement, with a touch of playfulness. R A L L Y • 11:45p-1:15a @r_a_l_l_y_.ogg emerged from the timberline. Inspired by his experiences navigating our relationship to nature and energy, of mountain and femme, how does our ancestral heartbeat emerge through syncopation and repetition? R A L L Y is a bass forward, cross-genre producer and DJ currently residing in Portland, where he applies 16+ years experience to teaching, producing, and performing. His monthly SUBTLE Radio show, Pattern Recognition explores dark garage, UK dubstep, breaks, electro & techno to find the threads that connect the forefront of underground & left-field bass music. Dj Screendoor • 1:15-3a @djscreendoor is a Portland-based DJ and Midwest ex-pat known for marathon sets across the forests, warehouses, clubs, and underground spaces of the Pacific Northwest electronic music scene. DJing since 1996, he developed a distinctive style through decades of residencies, afterhours, loft parties, festivals, and deep underground dance floors. His adventurous approach blends underground house and techno from Detroit, Chicago, and Berlin with touches of minimal, disco, breaks, and ambient, pushing dance floors into psychedelic and unexpected territory. He is also the founder of Disposable Commodities (DIS/CO), an anything-goes techno and electronic label launched in 2014. —————————

Hello! I am excited to share a new creative food exploration that feels like a culmination of personal and professional growth.

 Introducing Perennial — a vegetable-forward pop-up celebrating the best of what’s growing in our PNW backyard.

 Created in collaboration with Chef Kit Posert, Perennial is a love letter to seasonal produce— reverent, playful, comforting and meant to be shared. Each dish aims to be a tiny altar to this month’s standout vegetables, inviting you to fall a little more in love with our backyard bounty. This iteration of Perennial will take place at Daydream aka @favoriteneighbors , one of our most beloved music and wine cozy corners of Portland. P.S. As a true omnivore and lover of cooking meat, it’s not easy to sell me on a plant-based menu… but I must admit I’m not missing the animals on this mostly vegan menu 😎 Stay tuned for menu drop in the next couple weeks!

Meet Cables and Petite Syrah! These two babes have been on our radar for a while, and we are thrilled to welcome them to Seattle for their first ever b2b TOMORROW 11/22! More info below ⬇️ Petite Syrah is the moniker for Sarah Brennan, a Santa Cruz → Portland-based DJ. Much like the wine, she brings robust and full-bodied sonic flavors to the dance floor, alchemizing blends of worldly groove-based club music designed to move bodies. She builds an auditory palate that is fruity and flavorful, but also rich and earthy– dancing between percussive rhythms and breaks, bold bass lines, and melodic grooves.  Following a jam-packed summer season of events, including the successful launch of Portal Boogie festival as one of the co-producers, Petite Syrah is aerated and ready to make her Seattle debut b2b with Bellingham → Portland-based Cables. A set from Cables promises a freewheeling barrage of genre, opening portals to secret worlds through a freaky display of UK bass, leftfield techno, dubstep, UK funky, house, and more. Active since 2017, the recent Portland transplant has shared the stage with artists such as INVT and Machinedrum, appearing at venues such as Seattle’s Kremwerk, Summer Meltdown music festival, Bellingham’s Wild Buffalo, and Bellingham Arts & Music festival. Her first release, “Stush Melt”, is available on Ommaya Records’ Solstice compilation, released December 2023.

Tomato Tears~~
Yesterday, a tomato made me cry.
I wasn’t sure why, at the time.
I was working in the kitchen,
slicing a lot of tomatoes. But then I cut one open—
and it looked like a flower,
and a gemstone. All of a sudden, the tomato felt different,
transformed into a sacred object—
a godly earth jewel,
the color of blood and ruby and citrine. I’ve cried a lot this year.
Maybe the most. If I tried to quantify my tears,
they would be:
 30% joy, love, gratitude;
 60% grief, anger, heartbreak;
 10% who-knows-what tears. When I think about my tomato tears,
I think they are 50/50 grief and love— 50% supple, glistening,
sweet and savory juices of delight
forcing me to pause in reverence,
opening a gateway into reflection
on the critical importance of tomatoes— and how much we take for granted,
and how many people, in different places,
have grown tomatoes,
and cultures and lineages have built dishes around them
for so much more than sustenance— for beauty, and pleasure, and storytelling. And I think about Palestinians,
and their relationship to tomatoes—
and I cry the other 50% of my tears for them,
because tomatoes are the color of blood.
Ruby and citrine. Maybe it was more like 30/60 after all. Everything is a symbol for everything.
Delight and grief are held
in a single tomato. The earth is god—
and god is also a tomato.

Recent experiments run in the labs at Osmosis have resulted in a breakthrough novel configuration of the sonic boundaries possible in the quantum continuum. By folding time space backwards upon itself, our technicians have theorized it is possible to superimpose two sonic planes over each other — collapsing a two room geography into a one space singularity moving linearly through successive sonic states. As brave trailblazers in the rave sciences, we at Osmosis have determined to test the validity of this theory by conducting an experiment on May 23rd. 9-10:30 Petite Syrah 10:30-12 nitebite 12-?
