Martes 21 de abril, 17h - 20h Espacio: el Estudio Por inscripción Esta sesión del grupo de estudio Todo comienzo es un ensayo, Mariana Murcia (@marianautomatic ) propone aproximarse al concepto de boomerang a través del sonido, entendido como algo que se desplaza y retorna, cuya trayectoria se repite y cuyo eco permanece en movimiento hasta materializarse en la escucha. A partir de esta imagen, se explorará cómo la voz puede separarse de su origen y circular por otros medios. Porque si la radio es el medio en que el boomerang transita, y nuestra voz es el punto de origen, lo ventrílocuo da testimonio de un deseo persistente de creer en la autonomía de la voz, en el poder de la voz desvinculada no solo de su origen sino también de su subordinación al lugar. Mariana Murcia (tauro, dragón de tierra) es artista y nadadora. Su práctica insiste en crear y estar en situaciones que llaman cierta presencia radical. A menudo trabaja en colaboración con cuerpos de agua, la temperatura, ondas electromagnéticas y otras personas. A veces a haciendo escuelas, escribiendo guiones para sus videos, leyendo y fermentando con otras, escuchando la radio. Asumiendo una posición performativa, Mariana se pregunta por las formas en que el lenguaje emerge a través de la materia y la memoria corporal en relación con el entorno; con el fin de especular en torno al origen de las tecnologías que creamos y utilizamos para comunicarnos. #planesmadrid #artecontempóraneo #residenciasartisticas

Hace unos días dio inicio el tercer ciclo de las residencias de Arte por venir, con la llegada de la artista Mariana Murcia @marianautomatic , quien colaborará con Sofía Montenegro @_sofiamontenegro durante su estancia. 🗓️ Del 1 Abr - 30 Jun Mariana Murcia propone pensar su residencia en Infinito Delicias @infinitodelicias como un lugar donde hacer escuela, una escuela que existe deliberadamente fuera de todos los sistemas de producción y lógicas instrumentales y por lo tanto, puede ofrecer su «inutilidad» como la virtud que paradójicamente, la hace valiosa y útil. Una escuela que insiste en el valor y la existencia de las cosas que no se pueden medir, e insiste en hacerlas sentir. A partir de aquí Mariana, acompañada en este proyecto por Sofía Montenegro, propone la radio como el medio que puede contribuir a construir y disolver este espacio de ensayo, a través de sus ondas radiales que envían señales y llamados y traen de vuelta retornos sonoros, vocales, el eco que resuena y se transforma. Sofía Montenegro desarrolla su trabajo entre la instalación, el sonido, la imagen y lo escénico. Estudió Bellas Artes y Estudios Culturales entre Utrecht y Madrid, y un MA en Art Praxis en el Dutch Art Institute. En su práctica artística, Sofía incorpora diversas metodologías que vinculan lo visual con lo sonoro y la acción en un espacio, buscando formas de producir imágenes en el pensamiento. #residenciaartistica #artecontenporáneo #madrid

Assuming a performative attitude, she often works in collaboration with water, temperature, ferments, bacteria, animals, and other people. Based on her experience dealing with the limits and superpositions between her body, its memory and the environments she inhabits, she’s constantly wondering: if what’s in front of me is unfamiliar from my standing perspective, how can I reverse this relation by being unfamiliar to the presence of what there is? She moves in between Basel and Seyðisfjörður, in Iceland, where she is Program Director at Lunga School, together with Lotte Rose Kjær Skau, Lasse Høgenhof, and Þórir Freyr Höskuldsson, an artist-run residential art school that offers programs in Art, Land and Radio. For the past year, together with a dream team, I’ve been working on what would it be like to make a school over radio. Now the LungA Radio School is out and applications are open - - - The LungA Radio School is a temporary schooling community, unfolding as a 10 month part time program consisting of ten participants/co-hosts/school makers - - living and breathing together in each of their particular terrestrial location - - convening On Air weekly for various kinds of gatherings, i.e workshops, lectures, on-air exhibitions, listening sessions, reading groups, practice sharing, radio experiments and more.
