A little bit of an emotional hangover from @thetraka Adventure 560k
After months of knee recovery, I lined up not sure if my body would hold together for 560k and almost +10.000m. At the same time I felt in my gut I couldn’t just go out there and play it safe again.
First 15h just flowed through. The plan was trying not to sleep, but at one point I had to give that in and rest for 1h since I was battling too hard to stay awake compromising my fueling and hydration strategy.
After that break I kept riding the night, watched the sun rise and held it strong to deliver a final burst of energy on the last 26km that I wouldn’t have imagined I could pull out, to finally cross the finish line after 39h25’ just to get to my friends awaiting with fresh noodles 🍜
Rode with all my heart once again ❤️🩹 and starting to find comfort in probably one of the most uncomfortable sports that’s ultra cycling.
Not 24h after and already thinking about the next one!

This was my first time at @badlandscc and first ultra-distance experience of 815km +14.500m.
🔸Day One: I crossed Gorafe Desert, and reached Gor at night around 3 a.m. after about 228 km. Next was the climb to Calar Alto. Long, high, lonely, and I was destroyed, so I gave up the plan of not sleeping that night and rested for 3–4 hours in a park.
🔸Day Two: I headed alone to Calar Alto. The ride through the mountains was incredible, the kind of terrain I love. It felt incredibly fresh, and I kept up with my mental schedule and reached Velefique. I considered riding +100 km more that day, but at 11 p.m. after 190 km I found a nice bench in Lucainena de las Torres and crashed there for 5 hours.
🔸Day Three: started early at 4:30 a.m. reached Cabo de Gata and planned on a fast ride to Almería since the track looked pretty flat, but around San José my left knee started bothering me. I collected myself and climbed to Enix, completing 180 km hoping five hours of rest would help.
🔸Day Four: started at 5:30 a.m. The first climb to La Chanata was hell with the knee, and it took forever, but on the downhill to Íllar I managed to catch a few riders ahead. Nightmare number two began again with the climb to Sierra Nevada, 12k uphill, walking the ramps and cycling the flatter parts. Lost a huge amount of time, and my knee wasn’t doing well at all. The pain kept growing, but I’d come too far to quit after 700 km. The rest of that day I crawled, pushed the bike, and rode in pain. Got back to Granada at 5 a.m. after 24 hours and about 217 km.
Ultra distance isn’t for everyone. I don’t know yet if it’s for me in the way I experienced it here (the happy meal version compared to what’s been done out there). No comfort, no shower, no bed, no private bathroom to clean up the sores from the saddle or wash off from my period, no backup to call if anything went wrong. But I came here looking for that, and I got what I longed for without knowing it: the greatest feeling of accomplishment evened by some moments of misery.
Gracias @juanolivervisualprofoto por el detalle 📸 Gràcies @pedaltolive per ser-hi
Another day hitting the gravel roads. This time, the adventure took us to Cap de Creus 🙅🏼♀️
What started as a little scouting for our next race turned into an incredible day on the bike, laughing until I couldn’t push another pedal stroke.
I’m happy right now. I’ve enjoyed the process so much, even the days I rode the same hill eight times, or had to squeeze training into my day like in Tetris.
Cycling gives, and I take ❤️🩹
Loved this team 🚀

Having some fun and escaping from the storm with this fresh Lauf Seigla and a few drops from SS26 💫
Still in awe with the art of @brazodehierro and his view to create a beautiful scene.
Gràcies

Went for a ride through the eastern side of the Pyrenees with my friend Diego. He’s from Chile. We met racing at The Traka, and later crossed paths again at Across Andes, where he had me at his home for an asado and even dropped me to the airport (if you’ve ever travelled with a bike case, you know that last part means eternal gratitude).
He’s staying around for a while, so I invited him to scout some routes. He always carries his camera. He’s the one behind the lens.
The route wasn’t as ridable as I first thought. Winter here has been extraordinary and some passes are still pretty covered. We assumed pushing the bike for a few km to surpass the snowed segment and start going down.
I was worried he might be upset. Not many people are into this kind of ride, pushing bikes with a smile, and even less so through snow. But he said he had an incredible time.
We agreed the pushing was probably a bit unnecessary, but the day completely memorable.
Thank you @diego_aravena 📸

Unbearable joy and sense of freedom while solo bikepacking through Montañas Vacías, the so called Spanish Lapland.
I love the simplicity of bikepacking. It’s almost hypnotic: pack, eat, ride, sleep… and the wheel starts all over again.
You have to stay present to make simple decisions on a daily base, which pulls you away from living in autopilot and being just carried along by circumstances.
It’s a pause. A chance to slow down and pick up unfinished conversations with yourself.
Somehow, it feels like a quiet act of resistance against this fast, often overwhelming life.

A 28th Feb 2 years ago I mounted fresh and straight from the box this @laufcycles Seigla Race Transmission.
Little did I know how many adventures and happiness this machine would bring with it.
The outcome has been excellent so far. Keeping it minimal when necessary, yet effective, this bike allowed me to grow as an athlete and defend well myself in challenging conditions. It endured suitcases and travels around the world, the extreme heat of the desert, the Icelandic gravel, the toughness of the Pyrenees, crazy mud conditions, arguable gravel downhills or the harsh ripio in Chile…
For the numbers lovers… the following are just the racing km I’ve completed with this exact bike + some remarkable adventures, not counting the km spent training:
