“POV: you stop for 2 minutes and become a celebrity 😂📸 No idea how many selfies we took… but definitely more than kilometers. This is what I love the most about bikepacking in places like Timor. No crowds, no filters. Just real people, real smiles and real connection. This is how it feels to pedal from West Timor Indonesia to Timor-Leste 🤍” . . . #adventure #asia #indonesia #timorleste #cycling

200km into Timor… and of course, it rained. 🌧️ First ride ever on this island and it decided to welcome me properly: 8–9 hours soaked, endless climbs, wild roads… and me questioning my life choices somewhere in the middle of nowhere. But hey… this place hits different. Every single person out there cheering, smiling, living in the most remote spots like it’s the most normal thing in the world. Pure inspiration. Slowly getting closer to Timor-Leste, one crazy ride at a time. Bikepacking solo out here? Yeah… this is next level. Hard to resupply, adverse weather conditions and lots of fun. And yeah… note to self: Asia = rain. Always. 🤝🌧️ Timor-Leste, I see you soon! 🇹🇱 . . . #adventure #cycling #bikepacking #indonesia #timorleste

Scratching is never an easy decision. I’m writing this sitting on the left seat of a shared taxi in Flores. A woman next to me is vomiting, the driver is smoking non-stop, and I’m just wondering where the best place to throw up would be. Not exactly the ending I imagined. But the truth is… I knew. I knew it in that moment when I stopped smiling at the thousands of kids cheering me on. I knew it when I couldn’t even smile back at the people who were giving me everything: their energy, their kindness, their love. That’s when it hit me. I had to stop. I had to let go of the race. My body was empty. My legs were gone. And my stomach… didn’t want food anymore. I ate a pizza during a 10-hour ride, and it took me forever to finish it. It also took me 10 hours to accept what was obvious: I wasn’t going anywhere in that condition. I’m not a doctor, but I know my body. And I knew I couldn’t finish the 800 km still ahead. Only 72 hours had passed since I got sick. I tried everything to come back… but it wasn’t enough. After I scratched, I spoke with a friend who told me something I won’t forget: “Listen to yourself. Very few people truly choose themselves over what others might think. But you’re not doing this for anyone else. You’re doing it for you.” And that stayed with me. Because sometimes the strongest decision… is knowing when to stop. Listening to yourself. Respecting yourself. That’s the real win. Lintang Flores @lintangflores I’ll be back. . . . Thanks to all my beloved friends who were close to me giving me a hand during hard times away from home! ❤️ @pedaleatrepeat @natashacapirossi @sirenax80 @castiello.l @manuela.neirotti . #indonesia #bikepacking #adventure #solo #cycling

I honestly don’t even remember the exact moment… but I do remember the message. Natasha knew about my plan to come to Indonesia and race in Flores, and one day she just said:
“Hey Aleix, I think I have a good plan for you… for us. What do you think about joining Dirtylands?” And I knew it.
If it was coming from her, it had to be something special.
Didn’t even think twice. I said yes before really knowing what I was getting into. Turns out… she was very right. What I found there was way more than a gravel event.
It was laughter, chaos, mud, effort… and people that, in just a few days, felt like home. I’m still blown away by how everyone showed up. Helping, sharing, teaching, caring.
Making me feel part of something bigger, something real. This trip didn’t just give me kilometers,
it showed me what kindness, hospitality, and love look like on the other side of the world. And for that, I’m just grateful. Thank you Dirtylands.
Thank you Indonesia.
And thank you to all the beautiful people I met along the way. Can’t wait to see you all again very soon. Still, one month ahead. 🇮🇩 . . . #indonesia #travel #race #gravel #adventure

I didn’t really know what to expect from this one…
but it ended up being one of the most fun, chaotic and special races I’ve ever done. @dirty.lands hit different. It wasn’t just about pushing hard or crossing the line first.
It was everything around it. The people.
The laughs in the middle of the suffering.
Seeing my parents at the finish.
Friends, new faces, good energy everywhere.
That feeling of being far from home but somehow feeling at home. Yeah, P1, but honestly, that’s just a small part of it. This one I’ll remember for a long time. Super grateful for everyone who made it what it was.
You guys made it special. Racing in the heart of Indonesia was next level. And there’s more to come… this is just part one. Terima kasih!
Terima kasih 🤍❤️ . . . #travel #indonesia #gravel #race #adventure

Mud. Heat. Chaos. The wildest race I’ve ever ridden. Somehow crossed the line first… but winning wasn’t the point, surviving was. Racing in Asia, is next level. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Even 15.000 km away, fueled by @overstims 🔥 —————— Barro. Calor. Caos. La carrera más salvaje que he hecho en mi vida. De alguna manera crucé la meta primero… pero ganar no era lo importante, sobrevivir sí. Correr en Asia es otro nivel. ¡QUÉ P**A LOCURA DE EXPERIENCIA! . . . Massive thanks to all the sponsors who supported me on this adventure! @overstims @raccholabici @clubracc @quetzal.sports @carboxtrem . #asia #cycling #adventure #race #travel

Back in Indonesia 🇮🇩
And this time… it feels even bigger. Some places don’t just welcome you back, they pull you in like you were never meant to leave. The air, the chaos, the smiles… and those old friends that instantly make everything feel like home again. After a long journey across the world, I woke up here.
First ride. Heavy air, deep greens, that raw jungle energy all around.
Coffee after. Local food. Real moments. This is why. The bike is ready.
The legs… we’ll see 🥲 In just two days, it begins @dirty.lands
120km of pure gravel.
Jungle trails, volcanic landscapes, endless climbs and unknown paths around Jakarta. No comfort. No shortcuts. Just the ride. These are just the first frames of something bigger.
The adventure has started… and it’s calling. . . . This adventure starts because all of you @natashacapirossi @pedaleatrepeat @raccholabici @clubracc @quetzal.sports @overstims @carboxtrem @apidura 🤍 . #solo #bikepacking #asia #indonesia #gravel

“From deserts to jungles, from silence to chaos… these moments are why I keep pedaling. In less than a month, I’ll be heading to my biggest and longest adventure of the year: Indonesia 🇮🇩 → Timor-Leste 🇹🇱 An ultra endurance race. 1.5 months on the bike. And a route full of unknowns. But this time feels different. Flights are uncertain. The world feels tense. And sometimes, even getting there doesn’t feel guaranteed. I’ve been lucky to travel across so many countries. USA, Iran, Israel… And everywhere, I’ve met the same thing: good people. Kind, welcoming, human. It’s hard to understand why the world keeps choosing conflict. I just hope things calm down. I hope we can move freely again. I hope this adventure can start the way it should: in peace. Until then… we keep moving.” Can you guess where the Ultra Race starts? 👀 . . . No tourists. No comfort. No easy days. One of the 3 least visited countries in the world, ON A BIKE. If this looks peaceful, you didn’t feel the climbs. First adventure of 2026 done. Bikepacking is choosing less so life can be more.
Pedal. Eat. Sleep. Fix what breaks. Keep going.
No noise. No rush. No masks. Out here I meet the simplest version of myself.
Loneliness that feels like freedom.
Silence that feels like peace.
Problems that shrink when your world becomes small. And somehow, I found the same truth in this place.
Even with daily struggles, people keep walking forward.
Always a smile.
Always open hands.
Always trying to make your day lighter. There’s a Buddhist teaching I always carry with me:
If you can make the path better for others, do it.
If you can’t… don’t make it worse. Maybe that’s the real adventure.
Moving through the world lightly.
Taking little.
Giving what you can. This island taught me that life is simpler than we think.
We just make it complicated. Sun is setting down and I should find a place to sleep. I lock the screen, I jump on my bike and I ride north to reach my final destination. . . . Looking forward to ride another chapter together @raccholabici @clubracc @overstims @apidura @carboxtrem . #africa #adventure #bikepacking #solo #travel
