This year marks me living 15 years in the United Kingdom and today I officially became a British Citizen. Over the years I have been lucky to work and contribute towards many sectors of this country and I am looking forward to my time ahead as a full citizen. Nous avons le plaisir d’accueillir Matteo Marfoglia, directeur artistique de @vervenscd pour une masterclass Gaga à Dance Area.
Danseur et chorégraphe, Matteo Marfoglia a évolué au sein de compagnies européennes telles que Introdans (Pays-Bas) et la National Dance Company Wales (Royaume-Uni), interprétant des œuvres de chorégraphes majeurs de la scène internationale, parmi lesquels William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Mats Ek et Alexander Ekman.
Son parcours, à la croisée de la danse contemporaine et de la recherche chorégraphique, nourrit une approche sensible et engagée du mouvement.
Depuis 2021, il est directeur artistique et responsable pédagogique de VERVE, où il accompagne les danseurs dans un travail d’exploration, de conscience corporelle et de disponibilité physique — en parfaite résonance avec l’univers Gaga.

For two decades, we’ve launched dancers into the world, artists who now perform and collaborate with some of the most exciting companies across the globe 🌍
This special 26/27 season celebrates bold partnerships, past and present, with two visionary companies:
@la.horde returning with ‘People used to die’, their first ever collaboration with a UK dance company (that’s us 💪)
@korsia__official bringing ‘The Garden’ back home after its international success
And to top it off, a brand new creation by our Artistic Director, @marfellus completes the triple bill
