Our Stage Management course gives students specialist practical industry-ready experience, preparing them for their future career. This includes #RWCMDStageManagement grad Madeleine Miles who joined the legendary production of @TheMousetrapOfficial after graduating in 2024. As the first official Assistant Stage Manager/Bookcover in its 74 year history, part of her role is cueing the performance and producing the traditional live foley sounds like doorbells and clock chimes. She also operates the 'Snow Room' and the historic 'Wind Machine'.
Madeleine says of her training at College: ‘The course offers a holistic approach to learning how productions are made. This broad knowledge & understanding of the responsibilities within theatre has been crucial for decision making and building rapport.’

Last night we celebrated the College’s commitment to nurturing world‑class artists and professionals who carry the confidence and distinct voice of Wales onto global stages and screens.
Giving a glimpse into how our training embodies this ambition, music, musical theatre and acting students performed to friends, members of the community and supporters.
Taking us beyond Wales, the world, and to the @Marvel cinematic universe, recent acting grad @laurenmoraisss , who joins the upcoming @Disneyplus series, ‘VisionQuest’, shared how her training at RWCMD had helped her enter the international film industry.

The RWCMD John Ireland Prize engages #RWCMDMusic students with the traditions of British chamber music of the first half of the 20th century. Our ensembles and vocalists can choose any of his repertoire, giving them the opportunity to collaborate across departments to perform the music of this quintessential chamber master.
