SPANGLISH COOKBOOK!! My friend @themonticarlo ’s cookbook comes out Tuesday. The recipes are inspired by her Puerto Rican roots. She was interviewed by the amazing @kimseverson , hosted at the fabulous new bookstore/coffee/wine bar @thebookbirdae . Monti put her whole heart into these recipes and the book took 15 years to curate.

Now this one…is really special and personal to me.
I go way back with my girl,l @maradavis2000 . We both worked at CBS Radio Atlanta. I was on V-103/WAOK, and she was on 92.9 Dave FM and we just clicked from day one.
We used to have our talks, meet up for drinks, and over the years we became true friends and sisters. The radio game is not an easy place to work in, but we both managed it well, exited it well, and went on to do amazing things in our lives and careers.
Mara, I love you, and thank you so much for supporting everything I do and for always being one of my biggest cheerleaders. Your support means more than you know.
And yes, we are definitely having a BIG lunch after this win, okay?! Love you, sis.

DOGS MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER. This is a dog appreciation post. Louie & Goldie bring me so much joy. I wake up happy. They make me laugh. They keep me company. They’re a pain in the ass and I love every minute. If I had more room in the house I’d want more. Who knew I’d be a cocker spaniel person? Well here I am. Fyi Louie is a rehome via @kate_krat ’s family & Goldie comes from the great @laskeysluckyones . After my beloved Brogie passed @mikekanecooks said the right dogs would find me - and they sure did.

Got to meet so many amazing people including: @lindsayforga who’s running for a state house seat, @bertisdowns political activist and @rem ’s forever manager and @emgisler who recently flipped a deep state house seat from red to blue in a special election!! Yesterday I went to the Carter Lewis dinner with the Georgia Democrats and also attended a fundraiser for them earlier in the day. There were great speeches from Senator Ossoff, Senator Warnock, and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, the keynote speaker. May 19th—your rights are on the ballot! Make sure you get out and vote for them and Will Wooten for the Georgia State Court of Appeals. Getting involved in your local elections is a good remedy for the toxic vibes out there. Vote, vote, vote on May 19!!
