We were selected by the Center for Urban Pedagogy (@welcometocup ), as part of their #MakingPolicyPublic program, to work with the Association for Neighborhood and Housing Development in the creation of tool to help communities keep banks accountable and investing in their neighborhood.
We designed a brochure-turned-poster to reduce the complexity of how banks invest and explain the dramatic impacts that banks can have in shaping communities.

We supported MAKAN’s mission to help reframe the Palestinian-Israeli political issues around human rights issues that Palestinians face, as defined by the United Nations.
Our collaboration involved facilitating a process to create a name, designing a visual identity and branding strategy, designing and developing a digital platform and materials that live on the platform, such as academic reports, timelines, and “fact sheets” that amplify MAKAN’s mission.

Part of the research for Andrew's co-authored book, Design for Social Innovation @dsibook , was co-curating the Weiss Lecture Series with @marianaamatullo , one of his co-authors, at @parsonsschoolofdesign . An endowment established by Donna Karan, Karan-Weiss Foundation, makes this annual series possible at Parsons' School of Design Strategies.
Our title for this year’s series was “Globalization: Promises, Discontents & New Futures,” which focused on several urgent issues: women’s reproductive rights and wellbeing, distributed governance and the future of our cities, designs for the pluriverse in the Global North and the Global South.
In addition to co-curating this series, Andrew designed the visual identity, branding, and all of the related promotional and program materials.

This open-sourced publication includes customized content from the book and serves as a 214-page classroom tool that educators can easily adopt for their courses. We worked closely with Pacama founder, Cedric Martin, to design the @pacamafurniture catalog. Pacama is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Their furniture is made to order, which can be customized to size, material, and finish. We also have some of the shelving and the Heilner Console. 💛
