Around this time in 2018, we wrapped on the final season of Vikings. My Mam was a huge fan of the show. I brought her out to the studio for a little visit before the sets came down.
I gave her my Viking jacket to wear. Even with crutches she could barely stop herself running around looking at everything like a big kid! She was in awe of all the little details.
A year later, she would be gone. But not before she knew the ending of the final season. It hadn’t aired yet, so when my friend visited Mam not long before she passed, Mam asked her to tell her the rest of the story, as she knew she’d never get to see it. Thank you Viking family. Last Sunday, November 17 my Mam passed away. She was exceptional. She was my entire world. Her passing was peaceful and beautiful. I hugged and kissed her until the end. I will forever be grateful for that time.
Donations can be made to St Francis Hospice in my Mams name. Winnie Ryan. Her wonderful nurses were from the Blanchardstown Hospice, Dublin. The guidance and ease they brought to us was incredible. All the perfect people where placed around mam to help her on her way. I’ll forever be thankful
Her gal pals of super strong women fulfilled all of Mams wishes as she dictated what she wanted before and after she was gone ... In true Winnie fashion! They minded me while I minded her. They are my family
It’s been a few days since she’s gone but it still feels like she’s here. I hope that feeling never changes. Thank you, to all of you for your lovely messages and thoughts. The funeral was a true celebration of her life, and what a life it was! I’ll miss her forever, but all the wonderful happy memories will always make me smile 💛

Principal photography has commenced in Ireland on The Weir, the new feature directed by Conor McPherson based on his Laurence Oliver Award winning play of the same name.
The film retains the cast from the recent critically acclaimed stage revival including Brendan Gleeson, Owen McDonnell, Seán McGinley, Kate Phillips and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.
Set in a remote pub in rural Ireland, four local men—Jack, Brendan, Jim, and Finbar—gather for their nightly pints. Their routine is disrupted when Finbar introduces Valerie, a newcomer from Dublin.
To impress her, the men trade eerie local folklore and ghost stories.
However, the mood shifts profoundly when Valerie reveals the tragic, personal reason for her arrival.

My little girl, Habiba, is suffering from Viral Hepatitis; she desperately needs medical attention and specialized nutrition. She is also in agony from severe dental pain and needs to see a dentist immediately.
The weather is freezing, and we lack the simplest essentials to keep ourselves warm. Life is incredibly harsh, and I often wonder if any world leader truly cares about our fate. I don’t even know where to begin describing our basic struggles.
