Great to catch up with the North Side Progress Association and so many dedicated local groups coming together for our community.
It was fantastic to be with the NSW SES, Marine Rescue, Surf Lifesaving NSW, NSW Reconstruction Authority and the NSW Rural Fire Service alongside representatives from Port Macquarie Hastings Council, all sharing their knowledge and supporting locals. A big thank you as well to Make a Difference Port Macquarie for keeping everyone fuelled with coffee and bacon and egg rolls.
Designed for both new and long-term residents, the day brought people together through practical workshops, hands-on demonstrations and family-friendly activities, all focused on building resilience and strengthening community connections.
A great example of locals supporting locals and working together for a more prepared North Shore 👏

Once again, our volunteers went above and beyond to deliver a fun, safe and seriously good Ride the Wave 🙌
From showing up early to set up, to staying late to pack down, this crew covers everything - bacon and egg rolls, beers, ticketing, merch, videography, moving gear, packing trucks, unpacking trucks… and pretty much anything else that needs doing along the way.
It’s a massive effort behind the scenes, and it’s this kind of commitment that keeps the whole event running smoothly and the atmosphere as good as it is.
To our volunteer crew (and our RTW committee), thank you for your time, energy and the way you show up every year. We absolutely couldn’t do it without you bunch of legends!
