my third time attending the united nations ecosoc youth forum reminded me that while not everything is within our control, something always is. your effort. your voice. your ideas. your willingness to serve. your decision to start before everything is perfect.
no institution is flawless. no system is above critique. but if frustration becomes the final destination, nothing changes.

The eleventh annual Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals convened global leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, youth advocates, and changemakers to advance the 2030 Agenda. Key discussions centered on advancing SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, and 17 through innovation in water and sanitation, clean energy, resilient infrastructure, sustainable cities, and global partnerships.
One of the key takeaways was the critical role of young people in shaping a more sustainable future. Youth voices are already driving fresh ideas, bold action, and cross-sector partnerships in communities worldwide.

Throughout April 17~18 in New York, Global Youth Caucus on Peace and Security @yps_mgcy in collaboration with UN Secretariat on YPS, UN DPPA (@un_dppa ), @unfpa , and @unyouthaffairs hosted the 2nd Youth Peace & Security Progress Study with participants who came from around the world 🌎
Over the course of two days, we discussed in depth of about YPS and shared our perspectives on its future concerning how we can further incorporate substantial actions.

Energy and SDG7 at the STI Youth Blast ⚡
Yesterday at #STIYouthBlast, I spoke on SDG7 and the role of science, technology and innovation in scaling clean energy.
At a time of continued global energy volatility (with ~666 million people still living without electricity access despite continued and rising demand from digital systems) the conversation NEEDS to shift. We already have solutions like decentralized renewables that can and are already expanding access & supporting local economies… But the challenge isn’t technology. It’s delivery:
👉 Finance isn’t reaching the regions that need it most
👉 Policy and regulatory barriers are slowing scale
👉 Affordability and reliability remain major risks
The result isn’t just slower progress; it’s that energy access isn’t consistently translating into inclusive growth or industrial development. With less than four years to 2030, any shift has to be deliberate and clear:
From access → development
From innovation → scale
From silos → integrated systems
Looking ahead to this week’s STI Forum, our priority should be tackling this delivery challenge: scaling what works, closing access gaps and ensuring clean energy drives real development where it’s needed most.
