Last minute photos of an installation I worked on titled “Mapping Forgotten Selves”, in collaboration with Safeya Sharif’s beautiful works “Threads: Seen and Unseen”, for a curatorial practice course. Not an easy process but thankful for the collaboration and the in-between moments.
Earlier November 2025, I had the opportunity to represent the Fine Arts Department at the 2025 Youth Gathering for the Arts in Muscat, Oman, through an exhibition that brought together students from Sultan Qaboos University, UAE University, and the University of Sharjah.
I showcased Through the Glass, We Grew and The Lived Arrangement at Bait Al Zubair. Grateful for the invitation, and the moment where something new begins.

The Dinner Table, 2025
12 meters width x 6 meters high
A Wheat paste form of drawing done earlier this year, featuring fine arts students in their liminal time at the College of Fine Arts and Design University of Sharjah. They are gathered around a table, consuming the very materials they use in their artworks. My intention was to reflect on the cyclical nature of artistic practice, how we come and go, and leave a mark through our creative presence and contributions.

بجسد هذا العمل الفني جزءًا من طفولتي من خلال الثمار التي زرعت وقطفت في منزلي عبر السنين. كما تنعكس الألوان النابضة بالحياة على الباب الزجاجي الملون لتحاكي تلك اللحظات التي تزرع فيها الذكريات وتقطف مع مرور الوقت.

This artwork reflects a piece of home, inspired by the fruits that have been nurtured and harvested since childhood. Reflecting from the stained glass door of my house, the vibrant colours and visual texture capture the warmth and memories of familiar spaces.
Thank you to everyone who visited and shared their stories with me. Your memories have made the series even more meaningful. These conversations reminded me how deeply connected we are to the land and to each other.

In my recent exploration of home and belonging, I shared two series of works in Printed Exhibition that was temporarily housed at University of Sharjah College of fine arts and design, REWAQ Gallery from 29th Oct to 14th Nov.
‘Home, Made’ and ‘Baitna’. These prints delve into the complex emotions and narratives surrounding my connections to place, identity, and community.
‘Baitna’ captures the essence of a shared space, evoking common household routines.
‘Home, Made’ reflects the idea of creating belonging through personal and collective experiences.
Together, these pieces invite viewers to reflect in what home truly means to them.
