From my BA collection, which explored fetish clubs, parties, and nightlife, to my MA pre-collection about the quiet moment after clubbing—when you get home and just grab something soft to fall asleep in.
This MA graduation collection moves to the next moment: Monday morning, after a chaotic, fun weekend, when you have to get dressed and go back to work.
The knitwear traces the marks left on the body—jewellery impressions, bondage lines, the subtle pressure of accessories after a long night. These traces are translated into soft knitted structures, as if the body’s memories are absorbed into the fabric.
Look 6 explores the tension between exposure and protection through a body-focused knitted silhouette. The look combines transparent materials, bonded structures, and metallic elements to create a surface that feels both intimate and armored.
The bandeau top is constructed through layered knitted straps and pocket-like placements, compressing the body while exposing areas of skin. The silhouette references fetish dressing and restrained construction, while remaining soft and flexible through knitwear techniques.
The skirt follows the body closely before extending into a more fluid, elongated hem. Metal eyelets trace the surface like marks left on the skin, while the lower section introduces movement and instability through open structures and dangling elements.
A transparent draped sleeve piece extends from the shoulder like a displaced garment or leftover accessory from the night before. Covered with metallic embellishments, it functions somewhere between clothing, jewellery, and body residue.
The look exists between dressing and undressing—capturing the moment when the body still carries traces of the previous night into the following morning.
All pieces are fully fashioned and knitted by me on a Dubied 10gg industrial knitting machine.
