So glad to finally announce a project I’ve been working on for over a year now. I am co-editor and a contributor of the published book, it’s all about dis•course. “it’s all about dis•course provides insight into the experiences of 11 BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) artists from Newcastle University, discussing themes surrounding identity, displacement and navigating predominantly white spaces, amongst other topics. The contributors for this publication range from second year BA to MFA and their contributions included essays, prose, poetry and artwork. The main idea, when proposing the publication, was to create a book reflective of the artists involved, not only in terms of its content, but through the way it is written, read and organised. it’s all about dis•course acts as a literary collage of the experiences, identity, and artistic practices of the artists involved.” The book launches on Thursday, 20th August and I can’t wait to finally share this project with you all. A huge shoutout to every single one of our contributors - we really did something with this book and I’m grateful to have been trusted with sharing your experiences 🙏🏽 Tune into our IG live, this Thursday, 4pm BST for our book launch.
