we brought aster earth-side four months ago tomorrow ⭐️
for the previous 5 mother’s days, i mourned my mother. i longed for motherly energy in my daily life. this year, i became one. i have a tiny hand to hold. so for this 6th year, i celebrated us both.
i shared this post to substack on sunday, and wanted to share here as an invitation to transition away from this app. i published my first piece of writing last weekend. link on my profile. 🌷

i had the honor of visiting big bend for the first time last november while 30 weeks pregnant for my babymoon. the magic of this land is potent - we must continue to urge our representatives to stop this. come learn how you can help!
“The profound beauty and wild landscape of Texas’ Big Bend region has long-inspired Texans, Americans, and visitors from across the world. The Department of Homeland Security plans to build a border wall through this treasured region, despite historically limited crossings. This is one of the most remote stretches of the border, where harsh terrain already functions as a deterrent. A permanent barrier would industrialize public lands, harm the local economy, decrease private property values, endanger arid and riparian ecosystems, diminish protected dark skies, and destroy irreplaceable archaeological sites. Border security should be specific to place. The Big Bend is NOT the place for a wall.“

reminiscing on last december — my first visit to the sacred site of chaco canyon, the ancient ‘ruins’ in northwest new mexico. a potent historic site preserved & restored, yet reserved for silent observation and appreciation, as if it were only an outdoor museum for the citizens of the US. however, many still make the trek to worship at this site - still in use, despite what it may seem to outsiders. spiral petroglyphs, fallen rocks, and a waxing taurus moon above a cow while exiting the park. also pictured: georgia o’keefe’s work, comfort of home away from home, and the birds of bitter lake.
our first pop-up at last week’s Earth Day at @discoverygreen was a success! 🍵 thank you to @thepathoftea for co-sponsoring this booth with me, and to @greenmtnenergy and @cechtx for putting this event on.
excited to making my first public appearance as mediating space - a concept first born 3 years ago - beginning with my favorite herbal tisane blends. thanks to the friends who stopped by, purchased a tea and a nature photo print of mine.
looking forward to what’s to come.. many dreams are in the works ꩜ ꩜ ꩜
