July & August has been a crazy ride for us at @sjm.creationhub . We were introduced to the ECM-M1 mic with a6700 to tagged along with, an #alphaexperience2023 to meet all the creators, And then after, not one but TWO full frame travel companions, the A7cii & A7cR. And to top that up, the lens both @sjm.studios & I have been waiting for , the 16-35mm GM ii

If you’ve seen our recent 3 part reel (go watch if you haven’t already 🤭), it is basically inspired by “an expression” , on how Sony keeps coming out wit new cameras & lenses to suits all users’ need. 

So there’s very little time yet so much to cover, thanks to @meiiiaiii , we got ourselves a plane! One that doesn’t fly 😂 ,and just like that we embarked on a whirlwind adventure that left us breathless and exhilarated.

Tracking speed through the lens 🎥 🏎️🏁 Sharing my first experience on the track. What I packed : ILME FX2 16-35mm F2.8 GM ii 24-70mm F2.8 GM ii 70-200mm F2.8 GM ii 400-800mm F6.8-8 G SEL20TC X2 teleconverter lens What I was trying to achieve: - Fast pace side tracking shot with foreground elements (dirty tracking shots). - Whip parallax / Fence whip. - Match cuts So the tracking on the 400-800mm was made easy with a tripod stationed above a SUV. What made the attempt smooth was actually the fluid head, the panning mechanism came in clutch. Next is warming up to the racer’s driving pattern. In my case, I spotted the similarity between the blue & red. (SLIDE 2) When I gotten slightly closer, I switched to 70-200mm, keeping it minimal without tripod, also standing by the teleconverter for that extra x2 range. Do watch your exposure, F-stop will be affected. (SLIDE 4&5) Then I gotten greedy for another match cut attempt, but this time with the 24-70mm. (SLIDE 6) Once I’m at the pit, I challenge myself with only the 16-35mm, for both taxing & pit experience.
