Reality does not often live up to your expectations, and rarely does it surpass them. Yet somehow, even with the weight of a dream that’s been living in my head for over 20 years, premiering CHARLIE HARPER at @tiff_net was more than I ever imagined.
From the people who I know and love and made my first movie with, to the people I’ll hopefully make my next movie with, and to all the people who watched the movie and helped us share it with the world: thank you. I can’t wait to be back with my next one.
CHARLIE HARPER GOT INTO @tiff_net !
God. Ive been walking around in a haze the last few days trying to process everything. I grew up with this seemingly impossible dream of making a feature film, and not only did I get to do that, but last week I learned that we got into the Toronto International Film Fest. And it’s just like… hahaaahahahaha ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Follow @charlieharperthemovie for updates. This is going to get fun. WE’RE GONG TO CANADA!

Our trip to Spain.
I travel because of work, rarely pleasure. I don’t make time to go away to reset. I must be forced to do so, and that’s why I’m grateful to @monicaearle_ for being that force. Otherwise, I’d likely just work until I die, and though that sounds fine to me, I’m sure it’s not a life fulfilled.
Two years of hard work— two years of coming home from her full time job and immediately hopping onto a computer to do school work— two years of executing group projects over summer weekends— two years of commitment resolved a couple of weeks ago when Monica earned her MBA from UF.
I’ve heard people say get a partner who pushes you. I don’t agree with that thought. Monica pushes herself which inspires me to continue pushing myself. I think that’s better.
Oh, and Spanish moss is pretty when backlit.
