MABB was first held in 2018, and brings together exhibitions, seminars, workshops and an international platform for artists, publishers and booksellers working with the book as an artistic and conceptual form. PROGRAM: For this year, 30 exhibitors from several different coutries are participating, with a special focus on Japan and Island. The book fair takes place on Friday (15/5) and Saturday (16/5). Seminars are held on Sunday (17/5). LOCATION: The fair takes place at Victoriateatern, a 100 year old theatre in central Malmö. Located a 5 minute walk from Triangeln Station. Iceland´s foremost postwar artists, from the collection of the Living Art Museum. Curated by H.K. Rannversson, Director, The Living Art Museum. At the bookshop you also find various artist books to purchase.

We are happy to announce that we will participate in MABB - Malmö Artist’s Book Biennial 2026, which runs from Friday-Saturday this week. We will bring a few exclusive releases and offer signed and out of print copies from our catalogue. Some of our books will be available at special prices for the duration of the event (only for visitors of the biennial). The entrance to the biennial is free for all. ”MABB - Malmö Artist’s Book Biennial is a Swedish and international exhibition and selling platform for art works that are inspired by the structural and conceptual properties of the book form. We are very happy to present: @tokyoartbookfair 🇯🇵TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR (TABF) was founded in 2009 as Japan’s first book fair dedicated to art publications. Held annually, it brings together independent publishers, galleries, bookshops, as well as individual artists and collectives. TABF aims to serve as a platform for a diverse and international art publishing community. For its 15th edition in 2026, TABF was held over two separate weeks for the first time, hosting approximately 560 exhibitors in total. The next edition will take place at the end of January 2027, again across two weekends. TABF also runs a “Guest Country” program, which each year highlights the publishing culture of a selected country or region. In 2023, the program focused on the five Nordic countries. On that occasion, MABB – Malmö Artist’s Book Biennial participated as one of the curators, presenting art books from Sweden. We are therefore especially pleased to be participating in MABB this time. MABB2026 presents: @bergsmotiv 📓🗻 Postcards with Mountains are publications that revolve around Martin Eltermann’s collection of actual postcards with mountains. The artists in the publications are asked to choose a postcard from the collection and then to make something, relating to their postcard choice. To try and explain what it all might be about, we turn to the artist and poet Etel Adnan. She was once asked who the most important person she had ever met was, and she answered: a mountain. She had her studio looking over Mount Tamalpais in California, and that mountain was in many ways the beginning of almost everything she made. Welcome!
