Leporello N° 12 by Endre Tót. Edition of 250 numbered copies. Get it today from lleditions.se. - DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP, DUB-DUP. I AM GLAD IF I CAN STAMP. Since 1971, Hungarian artist Endre Tót has worked with a series titled ‘Joys’ — beginning as a reflection of the dictatorial conditions Eastern European socialism during 1970s. The absurdity of the naive and euphoric expressions of joy stood in stark contrast, not only to the oppressive political climate, but also to the intellectualism of the art world. In 1978, Tót wrote “I’d be happy if I could write on the other side too” on the Berlin Wall. Over the years, Tót has repurposed this phrase a number of times, in different contexts. - Endre Tót born in Sümeg, Hungary, 1937 is a Hungarian artist who lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Tót participated in the Fluxus movement and is well known for his Mail art projects, the use of xerox copies and usage of rubber stamps with clear conceptual text declarations. Tót’s works have been showcased at numerous international exhibitions in the past decades held at such venues as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Tate Gallery in London among others. He had retrospective exhibitions at the renowned Museum Ludwig in Cologne (1999), the Museum Friedericianum in Kassel (2006), and the MODEM in Debrecen, Hungary (2012). – Get it now (link in bio)

Static Motion by Carl Ander. Get it today from lleditions.se. - For over a decade, photographer Carl Ander has been obsessively collecting manuals illustrated with photographs on the subjects of sports, health, and self-help. Aspiring to teach everything from how to wrestle or ski to how to stretch or give a massage, these books encompass a broad range of topics and cultural contexts. Over time, Ander’s collection has grown to include hundreds of volumes published across the span of a century. In the book Static Motion (LL’Editions, 2025), Ander presents a selection of photographs drawn from this collection—omitting their accompanying textual instructions. Removed from their original contexts, and with the logic underpinning their existence obscured, the viewer is invited to interpret these images anew. Through this act of recontextualization, Ander imbues the photographs with new layers of meaning. Detached from the utilitarian logic that once governed them, they invite new readings; at times absurd or humorous, at others unsettlingly violent or erotic. Although their initial purpose—to instruct—has been lost, their capacity to teach is not entirely negated. Collectively, these images now seem to constitute a manual on how to photograph the body in motion. Frequently, the photographs are annotated with drawn arrows and other graphic interventions indicating direction or sequence of movement—visual cues that suggest a single frame can never fully capture motion. Likewise, when enlarged, the halftone rasters of the scanned images become pronounced, transforming into an aesthetic leitmotif that runs throughout the publication. This selective encyclopedia of static motion marks the culmination of Ander’s sustained engagement with the photographic image as both document and fiction. The book is designed by the renowned design studio Lundgren+Lindqvist, who, for Static Motion, have reimagined the traditional form of the photobook. - Get it now (link in bio)

Excerpt from ’Tal R:’ (47:42). Watch the full video in our cinema section (link in bio). - “There’s one character, in the world of characters, that I like the most, and that character is the colon.” Tal R uses the colon to illustrate the relationship between the past, present and future. In this film, Tal R – on the brink of turning fifty – looks forwards as well as backwards and shares what being an artist and a human being means to him, and why the two can’t be separated. - LL’Editions Cinema includes a stream of new and old videos that inspire us. We’ve collected artist’s talks, studio visits, documentaries and interviews with artists, architects and designers and have over 200 videos. - Watch the full video and many more at lleditions.se/cinema (link in bio).

We really enjoy seeing the books we publish in the homes of collectors. In this instance, a collector sent us an image of his recently acquired copy of Struktur by Nils Olof Bonnier, flanked by two very rare Björnligan catalogues, and the scarce catalogue for Bonnier’s exhibition with Bo Anders Persson and Leif Nylén at Moderna Museet [@modernamuseet ] from 1968. We could not imagine better company for our new facsimile. - Struktur by Nils Olof Bonnier is available in limited numbers from our webshop (lleditions.se) and from selected bookshops.
