🎨 Now open: “House of Nisaba: New Stories of Painting” Twenty-nine international artists come together in an exhibition where mythology, storytelling, digital culture and contemporary painting intersect. Many of the works have been created especially for this exhibition. Together, they form shifting worlds shaped by allegory, imagination and the unstable flow of images and information surrounding us today. What stories can painting tell now? Today, you can also meet several of the participating artists during a live conversation marathon at the museum. Free admission, drop in throughout the day. The programme will also be livestreamed on our Facebook and YouTube channels. 🎨 Tomorrow we open “House of Nisaba” at Moderna Museet. Across the museum, paintings, architectures and imagined worlds are taking shape. Twenty-nine international artists come together in an exhibition where mythology, storytelling, digital culture and contemporary painting collide. Many of the works have been created especially for this exhibition. “House of Nisaba” explores what painting can be today, in a time shaped by endless feeds, fractured narratives and shifting realities. Tomorrow, you can also meet several of the participating artists during a live conversation marathon at the museum. Free admission, drop in throughout the day. The programme will also be livestreamed on our Facebook and YouTube channels. Congratulations to Klara Kristalova, Benjamin Orlow, Tori Wrånes and Kiasma on today’s opening of the Nordic Countries Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia. “How Many Angels Can Dance on the Head of a Pin?” transforms the pavilion into a shifting world of myth, bodies, sound and sculpture. A place shaped by collapse, coexistence and renewal. Commissioned by Kiasma and co-commissioned by Moderna Museet and OCA – Office for Contemporary Art Norway. 📍 NORDIC COUNTRIES PAVILION LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA 9 MAY – 22 NOVEMBER 2026 📷 Klara Kristalova, Tori Wrånes, Benjamin Orlow Installation view, Klara Kristalova, Benjamin Orlow and Tori Wrånes in How Many Angels Can Dance On The Head Of A Pin?, Nordic Countries Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia. Photo: Finnish National Gallery / Pirje Mykkänenykkänen

✏️ Final days to see ”Yet Another Morning” Sometimes a line is enough. To capture a moment, a feeling, a thought. In this exhibition, drawing moves beyond paper. Into sculpture, film and photography. Across around a hundred works from the Moderna Museet Collection, most of them rarely shown. If you haven’t seen it yet, now is the time. And if you have, maybe take one last look. 🗓 Final day: Sunday 10 May YET ANOTHER MORNING DRAWING IN THE MODERNA MUSEET COLLECTION 22.2 2025 – 10.5 2026 STOCKHOLM 👉 Plan your visit via the link in bio 📷 Kjartan Slettemark, Untitled, 1975 Xerox copy, 29,7 × 42,1 cm. © Kjartan Slettemark/Bildupphovsrätt 2026 Photo: Åsa Lundén/Moderna Museet

🧵✨ Now open: ”Anna Casparsson – The Isle of Bliss”. For Anna Casparsson, embroidery became a way of composing worlds. With silk, velvet, pearls, sequins, shells and gold thread, she created works where fairy tales, music and memory meet. Grand piano covers, screens, textiles and images come together in a room rich in detail, playful in spirit, and unlike anything else of their time. Twenty-nine works are now shown at Moderna Museet for the first time since 1960. Step into a world where embroidery becomes storytelling. Stockholm Slides is back for the season at Moderna Museet. One of our most loved artworks is open again. Created by Carsten Höller, the large-scale installation transforms the museum façade into two mirrored spiral slides running from the roof to the ground. A work experienced through movement, balance, anticipation and joy. Ride alone or side by side, and discover what happens when the body becomes part of the artwork. A favourite with children, families and grown-ups alike. CARSTEN HÖLLER: STOCKHOLM SLIDES THE OUTDOOR COLLECTION 21.4 – 18.10 2026 STOCKHOLM 🎟️ Free under 19. Admission ticket required for adults 📏 Minimum age 6 years / minimum height 1.3 m 🌦️ Closed in rain, wet weather or snow 👉 Plan your visit via the link in bio 📷 Carsten Höller, Stockholm Slides, 2025 Photo: My Matson/Moderna Museet

🧵✨ Two days to go. Soon, Anna Casparsson’s embroidered worlds open at Moderna Museet. With silk, velvet, pearls, sequins, shells and gold thread, she created magnificent and wilful works inspired by fairy tales, biblical stories and classical music. Textiles that move freely between art and craft, intimacy and imagination. “The Isle of Bliss” presents twenty-nine works at Moderna Museet for the first time since 1960. The exhibition opens this Saturday, but you’re welcome already tomorrow at 18.00 for the opening night. Most people miss this. Behind one of the works, there’s a hidden world of motors, lights and moving paper figures. A kind of mechanical shadow theatre, quietly running just out of sight. It started with a simple moment. Car headlights passing through a studio, turning hanging paper into something that moved like film. Take a closer look next time you visit. 📍 On view in: THE ART OF COLLECTING EXPANDING THE MODERNA MUSEET COLLECTION 11.10 2025 – 9.5 2027 STOCKHOLM 📷 Jockum Nordström, The Anchor Hits the Sand, 2019. 🕊️ Is it a bird. A body. Or something in between? Jean Arp worked with forms that never settle. Shapes that shift, stretch and transform, like something caught mid-movement. In this work, painted wood becomes a meeting point between painting and sculpture. Organic, abstract, but still strangely familiar. For Arp, abstraction was never about moving away from life, but getting closer to it. To nature, to change, to freedom. Stay with it for a moment. Does it become something else? 📍 On view in:
