The Art “Union Station” inside of the Science of Sport Pavilion curated by @afja.es at @cityofstem brought together artists from different areas of LA County! From Pomona to Pico Union art collectives, galleries, and independent artists came together to host a station dedicated to highlighting sports through hands on art! 🎨Art Union Station🚂 I didn't take much pictures cause it was sure a busy day, but just want to say Thank you to everyone who came by and took part in our art activities, your energy, curiosity, and support truly brought the space to life!!! 🎨✨️ Thank you immensely to @da.center.for.the.arts and @xzbtlife for helping bring this to life and being extremely supportive collaborators! Our volunteers, (Sofi, Cindy, @ozkey_gonz ,DA Center for the art staff) who donated their time and energy to help maintain everything to go smoothly. Hermanos Flores Coachella Viewing Party was so fun💃🏻🇸🇻 Gracias @afja.es for the day, from the pupusas to the vibe, finally got my family to come out and they had a blast! Also thank you to everyone who danced with my mom and bought her drinks. She doesn't have an Instagram but she said she can't wait for the next one😅

I had my first folklórico performance this Sunday with @folclorico_pipiles_dance_ 💙🤍🇸🇻 I met Franny at an event with @afja.es and remember asking if she taught classes. I’ve always wanted to learn, but I didn’t think I’d be taken seriously. I felt out of place in my own head… like i wasn't “traditional enough.” But she saw me anyway. She reached out, invited me in, and gave me a chance. Since then, it’s been such a beautiful journey 🥲💕 This group has been nothing but patient, kind, supportive, and deeply rooted in sharing knowledge. Through dance, I’ve been learning more about our traditions in a way that feels alive💃🏻 It’s also brought me a lot closer to my own family history. Hearing stories about relatives working in the coffee fields in El Salvador, and learning that some of them used to perform when they were younger… it makes everything feel connected in a way I didn’t expect. There’s something powerful about choosing to immerse yourself in your culture ya know? to learn it, carry it, and help preserve it. This is just the beginning for me, and I’m excited to keep growing (hopefully) Please follow @folclorico_pipiles_dance_ and stay tuned for our next performances ✨

Skateboarding was one of my favorite past times , so I was genuinely excited to create this deck for the upcoming “Kreate or Die” exhibit at @la.tremenda.studio in collaboration with @xzbtlife 🛹❤️‍🔥 My piece is inspired by Los Historiantes, hence the deck is titled “Protect the Culture!” kinda as a reminder that our traditions are living art forms, and many of them are slowly fading. @wildflower_vanity asked if I can bring her vision of a dusk-ish sky with pink clouds. Normally, I hesitate on commissions 'cause I'm like what if they hate it 💀 lmao Being that I had no experience with murals, we only had from 9am-8pm and it was a ceiling spot but with the amazing help from @ozkey_gonz we were able to bring that vision to life (hopefully)✨️🌙 Thank you to Dea for placing such a big trust in us and for always being an amazing beautiful friend that you are! 🥲 Eternally grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow.
